Huh? Adanberto's is the same as Adalberto's which is the same as Carolina's. All the same restaurant and same owners.

Nope, not even close. Spoke to the owners of Adalbertos.

I asked an employee at the Adalberto's on Bradshaw if Adanberto's was misspelled or another location they were opening (before they opened, obviously). She told me they were opening another location and she would be training employees there. Sure enough, the first time I went to Adanberto's after they opened, there she was! I cannot imagine two competing businesses would be sharing employees in such a manner. I have since seen her at the Carmichael location also.

My theory is that Adalberto's and Carolina's are under the same corporate umbrella, therefore are counted together with the California calorie count law which requires chains with 20+ restaurants to analyze and post the calorie content of their food. The profit margins at Adalberto's and Carolina's are obviously not very high, so the expensive costs involved would be avoided at all costs. Ironically, there are a total of 19 Adalberto's and Carolina's in California. One more under the same corporation would require calorie analysis and posting. So, if they open a new restaurant (AdaNberto's) that is a new, completely separate company, then they could avoid the calorie law. That is just a theory though. I have no idea what the actual deal is.

Thx rpo. I was certain they were somehow connected. Exact same menus, trays, wrapping, decor, uniforms, super bright yellow and red colors all said regardless if an employee said no. May e they are trained to say that in case someone is investigating for the nutrition or healthcare laws.

I thing I have inquired about but still haven't changed is all food is served in styrofoam containers regardless is in or out. Its a horrible waste vs either a real plate or cheap recyclable or at least biodegradable paper plate. I should take it up higher in the mgmt.

3 grams of styrofoam is a horrible waste compared to the 1200 calorie burrito?

I had no idea the calories were that low in their burritos!

Speaking of the styrofoam, it is amazing that their cups will still have ice in them six hours after you bought your soda though. I had forgotten how efficient they were, yet would still support saying nixing their use.

If you're gonna ask for a chain, for heavens's sake, it should at least be different from something already available nearby.

My votes:

Roy Choy's Korean Taco Truck. http://kogibbq.com/about/

Pine State Biscuits. http://pinestatebiscuits.com/

You'll have to drive alot farther than Roseville to get anything like this!

While far from a chain, I really would love a great old fashioned Jewish deli. I loved David's in San Francisco. We kids used to get the blintzes, knishes and latkes and my parents would order the chopped liver, lox and salmon and the reubens. Saul's in Berkeley was always solid as well. When I lived in Studio City I would head over to Jerry's famous deli or Canters.
I am really craving a good New York bagel and lox...anyone know of a good Jewish deli??

There used to be one at Greenback & Fair Oaks, but I'm not sure if it's still there.

I also haven't been in many years because my first few experiences weren't that good. Maybe I should give them a try again, but my recollection is that they didn't come close to the Jewish delis I grew up with in Chicago.

It also always bothered me that they call themselves a Kosher "Style" restaurant. Honest to goodness I don't know what that means; you're either a Kosher restaurant or you're not.
