Trump has been consumed by the unraveling of his presidency during his last days in office, according to people around him, which included a casual discussion among advisers recently about a possible resignation.

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll found that nine in 10 Americans oppose the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Just over 70% of those polled said Donald Trump bears at least some responsibility for the attack. While 56% said they agreed with Congress removing him from office and barring him from ever holding elected office again--compare that to the 47% who supported removing him from office during his first impeachment.
