I think a good start would be for a certain angry poster to take down their avatar that says "The GOP hates America", which is just there to incite anger...there are actual terrorists that hate America, for Christs sake....we'll see if he has the class to do that....

Something wrong with the World Politics section?

I think there are too many "woosies" on the forum.
Especially some of them who don't know what they are talking about....
I have been called a racist many times because that is what lefties do....
If John wants to ban some posters... you will soon see that the forums will become boring....
Spirited debate that is passionate is fine with me....it's entertaining and hones debate and writing skills...
Now if I want to label what someone says for example, an "idiot" liberal rant... or a "stinking democrat idea"... is that "offensive".... or...?
Personally... I think the moderators can just step in when it gets a little hot tell folks to cool it a bit.. cause if someone insults me because they don't have facts to back up their point of view... well..... heck I've never gotten my panties in a bunch... I just come back with more facts...
And if someone posts what I think is a "stupid" or "wacko" train of thought... I am not attacking the person... just the idea... and that's where most people get "confused"... just because you are an "idiot" lib... doesn't mean you aren't a nice person... great mom or dad...
I guess I could be described as the pig in the saying... "Don't forget, when you wallow in the mud with a pig... remember the pig likes it...."
Love Ya'll.....

Just make it clear that you're NOT attacking the person, for example, you can say 'that's stupid' but don't say 'you're stupid' and preferrably also not 'you democrats are stupid', although that's probably too much to ask of you ditto-heads -

I agree w/ Benning. Some people jump straight to name-calling on any issue that lights their fire.
I don;t know about all of you, but I come to this site to have fun, not to (I've done this on a couple of threads) turn off the computer and go to bed angry (granted, I should know better than to do that, but still).

Benning babe...
Hey I'm no ditto head....
the Rushmeister is a shrill for the Republican party and many conservatives like me are disappointed in him for not coming out stronger on some issues..
although lately I think Mike Savage is kind of forcing him to be more conservative to keep his ratings...of course I don't think Rush would admit to that...

When the libs in this forum start attacking the war effort AND THE TROOPS, that's when I take it personally...they conveniently forget that there's a war on terror going on, something that their hero Bill Clinton didn't have the guts to do....
