I did tell you and employee introduced me to myfolsom smile.gif I guess there are others as well smile.gif But I must say it is at least nice to know my employees thought highly enough of me and my family to try to "make a difference" here on my folsom. Many of them are younger and are yet learning. The one girl who whos name is in her title "Jessicad" is a sweetheart. She also is someone who strives to be better and always brings a samile to my face, as for the others, I can do a seacrh on office compuer, however I dont feel lits necessary, they were just trying to protect me. smile.gif Luckily I am blessed with computer technology, now only if i could have that gift with coleslaw smile.gif And Farley, I am sorry the words blessed and faith turned you off to our restaurant, I did not mean to offend you. Maybe a restaurant that has a sign above our kitchen door saying "God bless our home" does not suit you, however you are always welcome. My job is not to judge, just love.

Mandee,

Where in the East is your family from?

I grew up in Boston. I've never found anything that duplicates Friendly's restaurants out here.

Maybe your restaurant will come close...???

A great country area, farms, great tomatoes and corn! my father still lives so so it allows me to visit often. however now that i have found a way to get taylor ham porkroll mailed, i must admit it nice to travel back with a lighter suitcase smile.gif and tatsycakes...mmmmmm

Hey Mandee

Welcome to myfolsom, and congratulations on attaining your dream.

I am sure those who read your post will come away with a different perspective, and give you another try.

I believe in supporting businesses which support the community, and which are run by local folks, rather than mega-chains. I'll be bringing my family in for a visit soon.

Take care of yourself. Pace yourself. Be strong. Don't kill yourself over coleslaw.

I look forward to meeting you

"Dont kill yourself over coleslaw" I LOVE IT you have no idea how "me" that is. I do tend to work very hard on even the small stuff, the book "Dont sweat the small stuff" yeah, I didnt read it smile.gif

Come in and meet me! I am usually there from 2-closing, today i will be there from 12-close, my husband is there in the mornings. You will see in not a dishonest person. Blessings!

F500 I do understand your concern. I am hoping that from this experience, my employees who are trying to "help" will learn that sometimes facing life head on full of honesty is the best policy. I believe life is much more productive that way. I will look into though, however, I am here now! And you cant miss me.

Mandee--
Just tell it straight up - you are heavensent_ 1997 are you not ?? to have two parent with autistic kids of the same age that joined the forum within day is just TOO coincidental., both also posting about My Grammas..

I know your employees supported you- great that they did, but Please do NOT try to suggest that heavensent_1997 ( 9 years ago) and Fish-Relax were other persons....

This forum does not take kindly to those that cannot accept and admit their faults.. especially when they overtly deny it ..
The Truth will set you free...

Cheers

There's little (quote) and (/quote) tags around the stuff you're replying to. Make sure your reply is OUTSIDE of those tags

Either before everything, or after everything. You're putting your stuff before the (/quote) line, so it's counting as part of the quote.

That was beaitiful, "Dont throw stones until there house is made of bricks" that is what life is about. Supporting one another, helping to improve, offering suggestions rather than bashing and being loving human beings. Even though we may not all share the same opinions, I agree that ones opinion should not influence everyone. I personally, will be going there for lunch tommorrow, simply because so many on here say its awful...I'd like to see for myself. Since when do others decide for me. Its sad when others cannot stand on there but rather go along with the crowd. i think it was sweet that you are standing up for the business you work for, it must they are worth it. And to me, that means its worth trying. Proven winners someone said, havent they only been open a few weeks? How can we let anyone win, if we dont let them try? I cant wait to try Good Fellas too, and Pachangas, ravine, I have a list and alot of eating to do!! Eat! Its the weekend! Mayvbe to change the flow we can all try a new restaurant we have never been too, and say something nice and offer ideas on how to improve. Positive flow folks...positve, if we dont remain positive about our community, who will?

Im not sure if we ate at the same restaurant lol. I ate at My Grandmas Kitchen Friday night for dinner. It was spectacular! The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were homemade!! And the desserts i watched them take out of the oven. Even the cookies given with our guest check were cooling only minutes before we got to enjoy them. we were greated perosnally by the owner and her daughter. I thought it was great to see a family owned business here in folsom. I did also have the sweet tea, and thought it was amazing! slightly sweet not sour at all. Best tea ive had since my visits down south. I did have the apple raisen coleslaw which i loved, but peanut butter and bacon and peanut butter banana are not my thing, I stuck to the dinner menu. My husband had the honey friend chicken and my children had the baked ziti and chicken fried steak..the only complaint i had was that my dessert didnt last long enough on our family table. Dirty tables?? yuk. Last night there were homemade table cloths covered with glass tops. Different food fits different people, all I know is myfamily loved it and is excited to have a great new place in folsom to eat! Maybe I will try there lunch and you try there dinners and we'll compare.

I can't speak for the folks who have posted the negative comments, but my wife, 2 year old daughter and I have eaten at Grandma's Kithcen twice (once for brunch and once for supper) since they opened. Each time both the food and service were good. My daughter really enjoyed playing with the doll house while waiting for our food to be served. We'll certainly go back for a third time soon. - Dusty

Holy cow, every person here has had a negative experience...I bet restaurant owners hate this forum. biggrin.gif

[size=5]The Only reason why business owners would not like this forum,

Is If they had something to hide or wrong with your business, like Gma's Kitchen, obviously.

Because If your business is good then there is nothing to worry about.

On the other hand, if your business is not stable, or does not have integrity

well then you shouldnt be in business to begin with and it will NOT LAST.

And if everyone of these reviews are negative THAT Says Something.

I don't understand what the big deal is, you either like the food or you don't, and you won't know if you don't go. You either like the service or you don't. Again, you won't know if you don't go.

Who cares what the sign says, if you're offended, don't go. Who cares "who is who," we're talking about a frickin restaurant here.
