Since the state Govs own the COVID response for their states, from SIP orders to masks to gatherings to testing... What, exactly, did Trump fail to do to protect citizens?

Remember, be specific. Tell me a single infection or death from COVID that you can tie directly to something Trump ordered or didn't order.

Your premise that "Governors own the Covid response" is dead wrong.

 

1. Medical and political experts tell us that a national response is needed.
    Trump made governors and states compete for crucial PPE, ventilators, and medicines.
    That caused multiple deaths.

 

2. From day one Trump called the virus a hoax - misinformation that has killed thousands.

 

3. Trump pushed unproven drugs, complicating effective treatment.

4. Trump suggested drinking disinfectant; unknown number of deaths.

5. Trump pushed re-opening businesses and schools too soon: Thousands of deaths.

    Still ongoing. Children dying will be his legacy.

6. Refusing to wear a mask; admittedly, only his moronic followers suffer from this one. 
7. Pushing events without masks and social distancing: again, only moronic followers suffer.

The GOVERNORS make 100% of the decisions for their state's residents. Trump can't open a single school or business, can't order anyone to stay home or wear a mask or tell anyone how to be treated.

Now .....Mays, your turn. Show me ONE infection or ONE death from COVID that Trump caused by his actions or orders.

In March or earlier, sorry I wasnt there, US National Security Officials warned Mr. Chump of the virus, chump of course didnt believe it because hes smarter than the National Security people and all medical doctors (so you fulling understand.... that was a joke).
Other countries were reacting, he sat on his tiny little hands and kept reintegrating that it all was a hoax. He did nothing and still doesnt have a plan.
