Oops!
I thought I had you on the 'moderate' side.
So, mylo, brown, mamad, brett, nrb, melloguy, and any other friend, acquaintance or customer I may have forgotten to name, know that there'll always be a place for you in me dear old heart.

What if you were in one of those long lines and struck up a conversation with someone . . . say me, for instance. Then, with a smile on my face and while I'm unpacking my grocery cart, I say something that is not in line with your political beliefs. Maybe "It's a good thing we're both supporting the economy by buying so many groceries. We sure need to put more money and troops into Iraq." Would you immediately assume I was a snob because I was talking about something with which you disagreed? That makes no sense and has no correlation whatsoever.
I can debate with any one or all of them,, but still have a beer, go for a jog, meet for coffee, give advice, ask for advice, or help them sell or finance a home.
You don't have to be in, and you don't have to have a certain political bent to be welcome here. Just be fairly nice and keep it interesting.
You redeemed yourself, Steve (although it's been wine an not beer). I couldn't believe you were the one who raised the potential correlation between political affiliation and snobbery.
I'm conservative and very friendly in public. I used to hang out on the streets to meet neighbors and their children. I talk to people in stores. I only get unfriendly when I'm in a hurry.
Maybe TRAFFIC is one of Folsom's problems -- the traffic gets so bad these days that everyone is running around cranky

Ah who's he? 'cause according to the thread maker that in itself bites of snobbishness and I wonder if now we are getting hypocritical?

Funny you should point that out....your last post claimed you hadn't seen anything on here about shyness, when in fact, I posted twice here, on this topic, about that very thing! Hmmmmm.....

I was with a group lately that could only talk in great detail about american idol and dancing with the stars...I did like old general mcarthur did......"old soldiers never die, they just fade away"
or if you modify the famous thumper bambi quote, "if you don't have anything intelligent to say shut up"

I'm not even going to dignify that with a response.

How can you tell they're stupid until you talk to them?

[quote name = 'old soldier'} or if you modify the famous thumper bambi quote, "if you don't have anything intelligent to say shut up" [quote/]
That would wipe out all daytime TV talk shows.
