There was so much to show on Gordon's conflict with the chef that they didn't get to do the usual "sous-chef proves to be the savior of the kitchen" thing. Devon, the sous chef, was the real asset in that restaurant.
The REAL bonus moment in last night's show was Gordon taking his shirt off! E Gods! Bare-chested Gordon. Forget about hot and spicy french dishes.

Great memories of Guy Fawkes. Fireworks and sparklers (the real ones, not the safety ones you get in the US that don't catch your hair on fire) and burning everything in sight! The entire village coming together, and basically having the equivilent of a Block Party BBQ. Always a good time, and a great sense of community. Did I mention lots of fire?

My wife and I have a running bet regarding Ramsey's shirt demonstrations. I always bet on nipples. This time was different, we saw him taking it off, not putting it on. It still counts, though!

I fully agree about the sous-chef, that guy Devon should be running the place, not that French guy

I'm too abstracted from European politics to truly comment on this one. I understand their reasoning for not joining at first. However, the EU is making quite a name for itself. Certainly something to keep an eye on.

The French guy owned the place. That's what I couldn't understand, it seemed like he really didn't want Gordon there.
He shaves, but we're not all hairy like them nasty Italians

That French guy was ignorant... Seems half the places that ask Gordon to be there get highly pissed off at him for his candid honesty about their shortcomings such as not having skills, ambience, passion etc. But he does a darn good job of shaping them up and getting them back into business.
Shaves? guys shave their chests? wierd.....
hey us hairy Italians are prepared for winter so there, pffffft

I bet that's why they wear wigs and can't sport a thick mustache and beard.
