My pity to John
It is his duty to choose
from these great Haikus

Bull and man tangled
In an eight second dance of
Muscle, sweat, and dirt

Lassos swinging round and round
Dust flies through the air

Does anyone remember

We had two Rodeos

Memorial Day and July
(Bud Wilson Memorial Rodeo )

YES!!!

I was a wee one
Running around , up and down
Stopping to watch bulls

One of my fav'rite
Folsom things, when growing up
was two rodeos

My Dad sold cold beer
Rotary club sponsered it
We got in for free.

Fireworks exploded
ooh, ahh for Steve Beneto
Find dad, time to go.

A boy plus pick-up
Is a man. Man plus pick-up
Is mighty hunter!

Four days in Folsom
Lucky cowboys just visit
Unlike Johnny Cash
Knowing the past helps deciphering the future.

Ever since this stupid contest started I can't get this song out of my head!?!?! lmaosmiley.gif lmaosmiley.gif lmaosmiley.gif

His eyes are cold and restless
His wounds have almost healed
And she'd give half of Texas
Just to change the way he feels
She knows his love's in Tulsa
And she knows he's gonna go
Well it ain't no woman flesh and blood
It's that damned old rodeo

Well it's bulls and blood
It's dust and mud
It's the roar of a Sunday crowd
It's the white in his knuckles
The gold in the buckle
He'll win the next go 'round
It's boots and chaps
It's cowboy hats
It's spurs and latigo
It's the ropes and the reins
And the joy and the pain
And they call the thing rodeo

She does her best to hold him
When his love comes to call
But his need for it controls him
And her back's against the wall
And it's So long girl I'll see you
When it's time for him to go
You know the woman wants her cowboy
Like he wants his rodeo

Well it's bulls and blood
It's dust and mud
It's the roar of a Sunday crowd
It's the white in his knuckles
The gold in the buckle
He'll win the next go 'round
It's boots and chaps
It's cowboy hats
It's spurs and latigo
It's the ropes and the reins
And the joy and the pain
And they call the thing rodeo
It'll drive a cowboy crazy
It'll drive the man insane
And he'll sell off everything he owns
Just to pay to play the game
And a broken home and some broken bones
Is all he'll have to show
For all the years that he spent chasin'
This dream they call rodeo

Well it's bulls and blood
It's dust and mud
It's the roar of a Sunday crowd
It's the white in his knuckles
The gold in the buckle
He'll win the next go 'round
It's boots and chaps
It's cowboy hats
It's spurs and latigo
It's the ropes and the reins
And the joy and the pain
And they call the thing rodeo

It's the broncs and the blood
It's the steers and the mud
And they call the thing rodeo

that is like the best song ever... Garth brooks Rodeo... I <3 Garth Brooks... 9i will be going to Tulsa this summer, so i will be storming his house to try and get an autograph

No longer the bull
America the world's rodeo clown
trapped in a barrel (oil)

Here's to red, white & brew
I'll hog tie your fat sister
A donkey punch bonanza

I'll bust that mutton
Like a lonely sheep herder
I will pull some wool

Oh Say Can You See
With dusk comes the glow
steers, cheers, pounding ears

City slickers in sh*t kickers
A grand charade, let's go hoggin'!
missing teeth has benefits

I will wipe my arse
with all your commie welfare checks
destroyer of initiative

yes but the site says up to 17 syllables it does not have to be 5 + 7 + 5

and in alliteritive or rengu style it says that there is no steadfast rule in where the syllables are placed as long as there is a pattern
Also, themed Haiku strung together like the one I wrote above has more lenience in the writing --though that doesn't take away from the fact that I'm obviously not a seasoned Haiku writer

I know I'm not great at Haiku--but what the hell, it's fun anyway.

She loves to argue
even on valentines day
please don't leave her tips

(sorry I had to do it)

and now for my offical entry

I am laughing hard
you people are plain crazy
and that aint no bull

(note the obvious slang and bull reference)
