1. speculation and rumor from kids who weren't at the dance??? what?? where did that come from? everything i have written was reported by kids that attended the dance. yes, the bathroom conversation could be hearsay, i only told you what the girl heard with her own 2 ears. a couple other posters report their children also had the same stories when questioned, WITH the same info, described the same way. the info told to me was very graphic, i have chosen not to share that here, ok, i'd probably have been sensored. it was viewed first hand, the kids WERE disgusted and they DID leave. another poster says his/her child saw a used condom on the floor....draw your own conclusions...i've drawn mine

2. what does vista have to do with anything? again, where did that come from?

3. don't believe it is happening, close your eyes and do nothing. so be it. i only posted to bring some awareness to a sad situation. do with it as you will

How many kids do you talk to? and besides, you cant take the word of 3 over the actions of over 2000.

I attend folsom high school. I attend Folsom High School dances.

and yes, i freak dance in the middle of the dance floor.

*GASP*

so i guess that must mean i'm having sex laying on my back in the middle of the dance floor with multiple partners and leaving my used condoms on the ground.

wait........

nah. And i can name 3 reasons why.

ready?
1) That's absolutely disgusting. With around 2000 kids in a small, enclosed area, it's kinda gross to just go at it right in the middle of all of them. Somebody would say something (along the lines of, "ew dude, you just touched me. Take it outside!").

2) How do you propose i'm going to lay on my back in the middle of a dance floor that there's no room to even move in? Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to get into the middle of that thing? It's like greasing a big rig and trying to cram it into a mousehole. Ain't gonna be an easy process.

3) My girlfriend.... would KILL me if i even looked at another girl. Same with all my friend's girlfriends. We arent exactly into polyamory, folks. Y'all have been telling us for a long time now about STDs. You think we're gonna ignore that now? In a crowded room with parents, teachers, and 2 THOUSAND OTHER KIDS AROUND???????

But, you know, if Normajean wants to ignore logic, human behavior and common sense, I guess that's fine. SHE must know whats going on more than a senior in high school who read her post in english class, showed it to all his friends and all of them laughed their asses off.

I talked to six, they have no reason to lie

glad to hear you're a good kid and not participating in that, but I doubt you were covering the dance enough to be everywhere all the time to determine what went on all the time.

it obviously happened with all the witnesses that are speaking about it

but that doesn't mean every kid there is guilty.... its sucks that a few ruin it for all....

He's not a good kid. He openly admits to freak dancing which is against school policy.

they had no reason to lie huh?
people lie for no reason, sir. Sorry to burst your bubble. Sometimes they do it just for the reaction they get from it.

so. going to your doubt that i would see anything.

Have you been to an FHS dance? There ain't a lot to cover. And you're losing sight of the fact that people don't like having people they dont know have sex right next to them. It's kind of a social unacceptability.

well, blade, can i call you blade? no one is accusing YOU of lying on your back on the dance floor, at least as far as i can tell. so don't be so defensive.

1. unfortunately, just because something is "disgusting" is not a valid enough reason for it not to happen....disgusting things happen all the time, hard life lesson

2. i am very glad you read the posts to your english class, very happy that at least 35 or so other teens were lucky enough to hear it and are now aware of what is happening in the middle of the dance floor. maybe one of them will say, "GROSS, knock it off" next time

3. before you try to post factual information, do a little research first. there are a little over 2000 students at folsom high, NOT at the dance. the gym or multi purpose room won't hold that many and, not that many go. i'd venture a GUESS that it was closer to 600-800. that is still A LOT of kids, you are right, but all it takes is a few....or six

4. now go take your smart girlfriend out for a burger and a movie smile.gif

no. you cant call me Blade. Don't try to patronize me.

1) I know perfectly well disgusting things happen. And in gym floors in the US, and Folsom in particular, people think that it's disgusting when a couple are having sex when there's virtually nowhere to go without making contact with another person. And if another guy's member touches you, you'd say something. Someone in MY generation, if we're as bad as you all seem to think we are, would probably hit them.

2) 35 other teens or so read your post and LAUGHED at you. And how ridiculous that idea is. If we want to have sex, we can. If you want, you can send a survey to the school. Ask their opinions on people engaging in intercourse while making contact with 9 people crowded around them.

3) you dont think that many will fit into a gym? K. Call Mr. Crannel and ask why homecoming tickets were limited last year.

Do your own research before you post accusations.

Ok. So lets give you the benefit of the doubt and say that yes, 2 or 3 couples had sex on the dance floor.
What do you propose we do to fix this problem?

so what do you call the crop circles in the 70's?
the people who made those had no reason to lie.
so it must have been aliens.

It is true, as confirmed by my neice to my brother.

But there are people/parents here who don't want to believe it and/or make dumb jokes about it (insinuating it's not true)....and I can't say I blame 'em.

To them I say: Grab some reality, folks.

Reality is a good thing...even if it scares you.

So you're saying you believe that's true, then?

and speaking of having your head buried in the sand, maybe before you try to tell me to do some research, do some of your own. Again, refer to what i said. Call Mr. Crannel and ask why he limited homecoming tickets last year.

Just be sure to let me know what he says in reply.

Mr. Strong
Calm it down a notch!

1. You'd only say something if you didn't want it to happen.....
2. 35 teens didn't laugh at me, they don't know me. they laughed nervously i am thinking, at just the thought, that possibly.....
3. crop circles, 70's, aliens, lost me there big guy
4. i don't know what to do about the problem, i did offer a suggestion earlier on, did you read that in english, too?
5. stop freakin, mr good guy, it's against the rules
6. what movie are you going to see?

normajean, you can call me norma

Ma'am, if something was going on, then i would say something. As would the vast majority of the kids at my school, and if they didn't say anything, then they're probably the few that would TRY to do something.

You try to say that people lie for no reason... and then ignore the fact that people have done it throughout history.

Sorry, I'm formal. I'll stick with Ma'am. Thank you for the Mr, by the way.

As for the fact you dont believe anybody laughed at you... sorry, Ma'am. But it's true. You don't think people laugh at others they dont know? Then watch YouTube with a couple kids my generation, and you'll see them laugh histerically at all KINDS of things, including people's opinions.

As for the "nervous laugh... at the thought of something like that happening," we're know that stuff happens. We've grown up in the information age, with instantaneous access to stuff FAR worse than freak dancing, sex in public, etc. So we know stuff goes down. I'm saying that people dont have sex at the dance. More often than not, they do it before or after.

Do you see my point?

And i didnt get a chance to read your proposal to fix the problem, would you mind reiterating it, please?

and i'd like to apologize if i came off as combative, ma'am. i get kinda wrapped up in stuff sometimes. Lo siento.
