google map it, but for a ballpark idea, it's near Cal Expo, if memory serves me correctly?

Back to our In'n'Out, They started accepting applications last weekend, I think I heard rumors of it might open Jan 21 or 22, but I'm not sure.

Mea Culpa, I was thinking of Tribute Rd.

Obviously this time, my memory didn't serve me correctly.sad.gif

But hey, at least it started with a Tr laugh.gif

Doesn't that just get you right back to where you started?

Yes, except you avoid the ugly left hand turn across northbound Bidwell St at that new funky light, and the ensuing left across the traffic lined up trying to get out and back onto Bidwell St. It's a much less congested route that ends with an easy right hand turn into the parking lot or the drivethru lane.

I've made no claim that it's quicker, just more relaxing and scenic.

Let's put it this way... I envision it's going to work something like this:

1) In-N-Out opens
2) Hellish traffic jams as people line up and create gridlock
3) City realizes it "has a problem" in that intersection
4) City requests Sacramento County to build a road south of 50 to alleviate some congestion and U-turns
5) County tells Folsom it will build a road "when they get to it"
6) Road is built in 2013

The city has done a traffic study and don't believe traffic will be a problem. I disagree. For one, it already is a problem, and the mall's not built yet. I think if you wll want to go to In-N-Out, get on the freeway and exit. Don't try it from Iron Point or East Bidwell, it will be an exercise in futility.

Remember the good ole days regarding Measure W, where our elected officials were exposing the virtues of the City of Folsom planning S50 instead of the County?

This maybe the first In & Out Burger Drive thru that has a "metering light" to allow traffic to enter.

Blasphemy!
For proof, go have a big mac, then gig to in-n-out and have a double w/cheese. Nuff said

OK wait...in-n-out is a burger joint. BJs is a burger joint. Red Robin is a burger joint. islands is a burger joint.

Wendys, mcdonalds, burger king....those are crappy fast food joints.

In-n-out is a drive thru burger joint. Their burgers are good enough, yes. But it's not such an amazing place that I get excited for it to open.
We all dream of a world of sunshine and rainbows and peace. The problem is some people think this would be a great place to live, while others think it would be a great place to pillage.

Sounds like they're going to use the standard municipal method for road management.

a) throw something generally unworkable but cheap together, foisting as much of the cost as possible on retailers to foot as much of the road construction costs as possible.

b) make sure the town police write lots of tickets to all the people who take illegal turns, since as we all know, taking a left turn in california simply isnt allowed, nor is a u-turn within 5 miles of where we'd have liked to take the left turn in the first place.

c) after its ridiculous, get the retailers to cough up even more money to do a major road rework, 3 years later.

d) put out some orange cones and some four man teams to do a little digging, with one guy digging and three guys supervising.

I'm going to order a double animal no cheese when they open.

I think I'll even try the animal fires, I haven't tried those yet.

WTF?

I don't like american cheese on my burgers, if they offered swiss, I would ask for it.
That's one of the things I love about Carls Jr, they have swiss cheese (or at least a plastic imitation of it)

I am anxious for In n Out to open as well. We don't eat fast food much, but their burgers are pretty darn good. I haven't had a good burger in a long time. Best I have had was probably from Mikes at the Yard in the bay area.
