The person I am thinking of often says things like "people like you make me sick" which is different from " what you just said makes me sick". In my opinion its in the same category as what Robert was complaining about, being called "intolerant" or "hateful" based on an opinion expressed. When you label a person who disagrees with you as "sick" or "intolerant" etc., you then absolve yourself from actually having to listen and consider their point of view. I see it as a completely antithetical to reasoned discussion, and would like to see it limited on this forum. Personally, I have refrained from posting at times just because I didn't want to deal with the personal attacks that would inevitably come my way.

I think I know who you are talking about and myfolsom.com has a cool tool that minimizes seeing this -- the Ignore User option is your friend Works great unless someone quotes them.

After 2.5 years (has it really been that long) and countless thousands of posts, I've decided to throw in proverbial moderating towel.

I can't say that it hasn't been fun, but with all the recent drama and negativity on this site, it's getting to me. I just don't want to feel even partially responsible for cleaning up other peoples !@#$ anymore.

I may decide to take a breather from posting aswell, but rest assured you haven't heard the last of me!
