OK, my view, 6 year old with a 10 year old, possibly OK. (kinda depends upon the maturity of both) But the 2 year old should definitely be with mom for the trip to the grocery store.

My message to the mother:

"Sorry mom, it might be an inconvenience to strap the toddler into the car seat, then put her in a shopping cart, and then back into the carseat, but having the baby, you kinda volunteered to take care of them."

I have a 17 year old, a 13 year old and a 6 year old. I would NEVER leave my 6 year old with my 13 year old and rarely do I ever leave her with my 17 year old.

I didn't insult your kid, I merely commented on how the interview came across.

If you have an issue with that then don't let the newshounds shove cameras in your kids face if you don't want people to make observations about something you let them do OK? If anything it raised more questions than answers.

you said she was not smart if you have somthing bad to say about a child keep it to your self that was flat out a insult if you have a ? ask the news story did not show all that they recorded. and surly did not tell the whole story so if you have questions ask b4 you start tossing out neg remarks about a child

FWIW you sure seem to have the texting communication style down, that should come in handy for you. Good luck, you're gonna need it.

The "adult" term being applied here is subject to debate.

That's wise, because the person you are engaged with always has something derogatory to say about any parent who posts on this forum. Believe me, you're not alone and you shouldn't take it personally.

Oh please give me a break. There are so many red flags in this story it's a joke. I know some people here will say nice things for no reason other than I guess they feel sorry for some of those involved but I call 'em like I see 'em and IMHO it's a pretty easy call in this case.

Being a parent is hard, and we all love our kids and are doing the best we can. Sometimes we screw up. But there are people out there who always have to criticize. And the ironic thing is, many of those people don't have kids of their own. The only thing to do is ignore.

Can you explain why your neighbors, a few who have posted here, have a very negative view of the way you handle your kids? Are they just against you, wrong, what???
