Robert, this is a personal attack and not appropriate.

Regardless, Davburr, or anyone else, can support whomever they want for any reasons they want. It's not up to you to judge him.

Its definitely NOT a personal attack. A personal attack is saying so and so is a such and such. I never said that here and I won't do that to anyone, including yourself.

It looks like you missed the part where I stated to Dave, "I'll support your right to do so" or did you intentionally leave that part out?

Ernie has stated that he doesn't respond to emails and I've posted that before in response to your question. I guess you missed that as well?

How 'bout we get back to talking about the topic at hand so we can focus our disgust that way.

The history of Robert v Kerri, and even Robert v CW, has been heavily documented on MyFolsom for many years and these same arguments can be reviewed by using the search feature.

Thank you. Have a nice day.

With respect--I do not see that as an attack.

nor was it a horrible comment.

(not as I see it by itself)

There is nothing wrong with criticising whom a person chooses to support or not support.

When it becomes apparent that it is an attack is when there is no reasonable statement to back up such a claim.

IE:, "I think you shouldn't be hanging out with those tree hippies it makes you look like a bong smoking conservative"----that is an attack! actually more like just unsociable verbalization that won't be met well.
Still not too much on attack.

There is some posturing here, however.

Telling someone they are part of the problem because they are unintentionally masking a political ineptness is not an attack. Its an opinion --which--well, is a nice way (relativity law) of saying too many firemen in the kitchen keeps the eggs from getting scrambled.

usually only one fireman is cooking and the rest are doing jobs like polishing the truck or going out on calls. some are reading the news so they can make endorsements in the next election

in the kitchen? all at the same time?

That makes for a lot of bumbling about with accidents happening and not much positive action.

(just saying)

though--for the record---I don't know a whole lot about any of the 5 persons to have an opinion of them based on prior experiences.

The few times I have gone to city council meetings---well, I have a bit of reservations on a councilmember openly chastizing the head of a department in a council meeting...That's all I'm gonna say.

As for the decisions of the council members based on reasoning and notifying their constituents--I strongly agree that that is something which should be looked at. We do have a secretary on employ with the city-right?

Why would Ernie NOT respond to emails from his constituents ? And why wont the other three as well ?

I can send an email to Arnie, Nancy P , B boxer and even Obama and at least get a staff response..

I get tired of some on the council thinking they are so elite they do not need to answer to the public opinions... in meeting and via emails or other venues...

In this situation- not a word was addressed to those in opposition to the Hotel as to why the three planned ( in advance) to vote yes ...

Another great  day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

This is amusing. Many of you are being chastised for wanting an explanation from elected officials about a decision made last week, because you obviously did not get the memo that one person got that states that council members do not respond to emails. However, it is OK for that same person to keep asking questions about a council decision from about 5 years ago. That same individual is attempting to make you believe that I am trying to mislead the public and that my vote against the hotel last week is based upon some hidden agenda. Somebody tell me what the hidden agenda might be - please.

I have never supported the proposed hotel, and that goes way back. At every opportunity, I have explained my opposition to the project, including in a televised interview with Channel 3, 5 years ago.

So, speaking of ancient history, I would be the only council member to "state publically" that an RFP was issued - is that because I am the only council member who posts here with any frequency, and the most likely to respond to emails? I guess there has never been an opportunity to ask any other council member about the RFP (that would be the one that the City issued, and to which there were 3 responses - one of which was considered "non-responsive" because it did not provide all the information requested). The 2 remaining were reviewed, based largely on what the developer was proposing to build on the site. An appraisal was obtained, and, after selecting the best conceptual project, negotiations were undertaken with the selected developer. The developer then went through the process to obtain the required approvals for the project. Once those approvals were otained, the firm decided to sell the property to a home builder. I am sure they made money on it and, based upon the project getting started, selling some of the homes, at the top of the market, the housing market taking a dive and the homebuilder going belly up on the project - I would agree they overpaid. Can we finally let this issue go? I have explained this several times already. Do us all a favor, pick up the phone, send an email, call City Hall, do whatever suits you - but get confirmation that the RFP was issued and stop expecting me to go to City Hall and get a copy of a completely irrelevant document that you are more than capable of getting on your own.

Thank you to those who have been supportive in your comments. As always, feel free to contact me any time.

NO. There should be one again next Tuesday, the 25th at 6:30 PM

Kerri, thanks for your response. I for one really appreciate the fact that you will come on here and talk to us and also respond to emails when we send them to you.

Thanks again. If you are running again, you for one, will get our support.

When and where? How am I supposed to know this? I'm just totally confused as to how you think I'm supposed to know this and would like clarification. It just seems like this information should be posted at the same place on the City's site that gives their emails.

ps - I still personally think telling someone "you're part of the problem" is personal, but really don't care to continue on that.

Kerri, you are excluded from my subsequent comments:

Wow.

I love how corrupt Folsom is.

The Mafia would run Folsom better and at least be honest and have more transparency.
unsure.gif rolleyes.gif (sarcasm and facetiousness intentional)

I sat on a board and we were more than able to discuss openly with public on issues. That is why we had a lawyer. If we got off topic/into areas we should be discussing he would let us know.

I really hope there is some shake up in Folsom and soon.

One councilman I have no problem getting a hold of is Ernie Sheldon. His phone number is in the book. I just spoke with him and he definately will answer phone calls and if you get his voice mail he will call you back. He did say he's not comfortable with a computer.
His home # is 989-4752. His cell phone # is 801-5690. He prefers you call him at home and yes he gave me the okay to give out his numbers.

If you want to speak to him in person stop by the fireworks booth at the Sav Mart shopping center between June 28 and July 4th. He'll be there every day working his @#$ off selling fireworks to help the Folsom Athletic Association.

My home phone is also in the book - though now is not a good time to call it, since I can not use it, and can not get to voicemail - I hope that is resolved this week - and don't ask me for any recommendations for Comcast, either. If you would like my cell phone, you can email me directly, as I do not want it posted on here. Email is best.

Kerri
