An amateur politician...?  He is no politician, that is what got him elected.

And your personal rules are fine but limiting.  As a student of history I surely believe things that happened in the past are very relevant to today and can be predictive of future events.  To put it in an analogy of automobiles that is why we have a rear view mirror.....  I've avoided many an accident by seeing a fast moving car coming up behind me and moving at the last second, just before it clipped me and sent me violently off the road.  And I always point out historical precedent whenever I can.   Compare and contrast past behavior to what is going on today.   Change out the characters, their race, their political affiliation, their color, their religion, their sex, their sexual orientation and ask the questions "does this still make sense", "did it bother you then but not now",  and "would this behavior or event still be acceptable".   Often today I come up with the answer of "no" to those questions and then ask myself "why".   Trails, God bless his retired heart, calls this deflection.  I call it looking at the whole equation, comparing and contrasting, seeing the big picture.   Chris

Chris, read my words carefully.  I said, "BASHING things that happened in the past...".  It's wise to remember the past, I agree.  but you seem to still want to bash Obama.  Why?  It's like beating a dead horse.  Obama's gone.  total waste of time, energy, and keystrokes.

You're right.  Trump's no politician.  but needs to become one fairly quickly.  Leadership requires a deft hand and so far, it's not evident.

When the FAT (Forever Anti Trumpers) like YOU criticize Trump, it's fair game to point out what YOUR SIDE has done in the RECENT PAST. You're disingenuous. At least try to hide it a little bit.

WDYT, all due respect to Chris but that's all he's got. He and even more so his Deplorable Snowflake sidekick AVOID discussing anything their hero/ savior does,,,,they refuse to discuss anything thus deflection is all they have,..to a certain extent they have my sympathies..would you want to defend this puffy orange psychopath? Of course not, it's impossible same as it was for Nazi's to defend Hitler.
Stay tuned for Joker's silly meme now...the guy needs to get outdoors...seems chained to his keyboard

Dumb analogy. You can do better than that, can't you?

Compared to the last 8 years, Trump is HIGHLY qualified to lead America. This is not debatable, unless you've been asleep for 8 years.

Oh, and besides being qualified for POTUS, he's a quality guy who is loyal to many people, big and small. It's time we put decent people in positions of power, if you get my drift. Short story below.

Actually a perfect analogy.  Know how to tell?  No one came up with a plausible counter, only "dumb analogy".

And then you claim the last 8 years is your "standard" for presidential performance.  Really?

Nice try. YOU have been the Obama defender here, not me. Just using him as the standard, as YOU considered him to be a good President. You are deflecting again.

Unintelligible.

Obama is fair game to bash just as G.W. Bush still is fair game to the left to this day.....!  Or as conservatives do we have to play by different rules....?  Obama lasted a whole week as ex-POTUS before he opened his mouth and bashed Trump.  Obama = fair game for bashing, which in my case means pointing out to you he or the dems did the very same thing before and no one seemed to care.  Now G.W. Bush on the other hand kept his mouth shut for 8 years as ex-POTUS and will until the day he dies.  Now that my friend is a classy ex-president....!   Too bad Jimmy Carter could not do the same either....  And every time you guys offer up a criticism, complaint, outrage, or half truth about Trump or his administration I will be there to remind you, give you an example, from history, of the exact same thing, or worse, that the democrats or Obama did and no one complained, especially the MSM.   That's not "deflection" Trails or "bashing" Who Do, that's apples to apples, oranges to oranges, like for like, and tit for tat (can I say that....?).  Chris

Chris I am sorry but you can't hide behind that excuse much longer. As a conservative you KNOW we said the same to Obama with his W did this and W did that. You just can't any longer Chris. Trumpolini has now put Iran on notice...you know, I am conflicted because we need to be tough with them. If it was ANYBODY else doing the same I'd applaud. With Trumpolini I shudder. Weren't you the guy who asked what made me think Trumpolioni wants war?
It will be 4 long years of war and passed to his successor, hopefully Ted Cruz...I think Trumpolini will be like LBJ and chose not to run after the body bags start piling up. Soon he will meet with his puppet master and they will go after ISIS,. Say what you will about Obama but he never once thought he needed the Russians to do anything. No other president has either. I guess those films Putin has on hookers peeing in Trumpolini's face is the difference...if not that then he is just a p*ssy.

Chris,  think about something.  (I've said this before) - Bringing up the shenanigans on the other side to defend the shenanigans on your side is an ineffective strategy.  Two wrongs don't make a right.  Right?  Sadly, both sides do it with regularity.  It's unproductive and certainly doesn't help resolve anything.  So why join in?  There are better things to discuss.

I disagree Who do.  Citing past similar, if not exact behaviors by the left as a counterpoint to the current complaints and outrage from the left is a very useful tool.  It's not a defense or an excuse for anything or anyone (Trump).  Just pointing out the obvious hypocrisy of the left and the never Trumpsters in their constant whining and complaining.   Chris

Chris,  a very useful tool?  To accomplish what?  Everyone commits hypocrisy.  you, me, everyone.  IMO, pointing it out doesn't lead to any kind of solution, so it's a waste of time.  If you're doing it to make yourself feel better, it doesn't work.

Please don't become like my grandmother.  Every word she spoke was some kind of complaint.  She'd go into a room and find something (anything) to complain about.  If she couldn't find something to complain about, she'd create something to complain about.  Everybody knows somebody like this.  No one in the family wanted her around.  she died a very lonely woman.  I vowed very early to not be like her.

Another one of my "rules" - It's OK to complain about something, but you must have a solution to the problem, or no one will want to listen to you.  I adhered to this when writing articles.  It served me well.
