As for our prices & receptionists: If you call the front desk, you will get the same prices that you will find on our website www.MaribouSpaSalon.com Our stylists are independent contractors so if they choose to cut you a deal...that is between the 2 of you! We are a high-end salon where higher prices are to be expected. They are not far off of other salons in town. I believe that my staff & overall experience has been pleasing to most clients. We won in several categories of Folsom/El Dorado Hills Style magazine Best Of 2006 & the Telegragh for: Best salon, spa, mani/pedi, massage, place to get a facial, & have 2 of the 3 top stylists! We are busy & doing great!
I do take responsibility for the dissatisfied customers who have posted. I appologize for that. I dont want my entire staff to suffer for it. We are all just trying to make a living.
As for Lisa: She is a phenominal stylist! She has several years experience doing hair, a very large clientelle who keep her busy 60+ hours per week, and she won in the top 3 local stylist awards! Its unfortunate that someone here had a bad experience. Its a tough business!
I invite each of you to visit & experience Maribou for yourself. If you are on a budget, check our website for coupons or come to our holiday party Dec.1 @ 6pm where we will have GREAT savings, live jazz, wine, raffles & more.
I dont check in here too often so forgive me for not replying much in the future.

I am very picky about my hair and why shouldn’t us girls be??? We spend tons of money on straightners, blow-dryers, combs, brushes, shampoos, conditioners ect. We also spend tons of time to take care of our hair!!
I read the maribou owners comment about how wonderful maribou is and all the experience they have... so I had an appointment a couple days ago with an older lady her name starts with a "J" and ends with a "ne" she has blonde hair looks like in she's in her late 50's and i just have to say LADIES BEWARE!!!
it was the WORST experience I’ve had in the 5 yrs that I’ve been getting my hair done...she didn’t even have time to listen...it seemed like she was in a hurry for something...my hair has never been this short or this ugly color...I don’t know about all the experience she talks about because when I took my hair back to my usual hair dresser to fix... he had a lot of things to fix!!!
I guess that’s what i get for trying to go to a cheaper place! It came with the worst service!!!
Maribou might be a nice place but please if your hair is precious to you...well the choice is yours!!!

Sorry to hear about your experience at Maribou. I go there. Granted I don't go to the blonde lady. But, I absolutely love my hairdresser, Lourdes.
I tried highlights for the first time this summer. Love 'em!! And, love my hair. I get compliments all the time. So, I gotta put a shout out there for Lourdes. I've also always had great service there. I've been to Hoshall's & La Borgata and feel the service is more personal at Maribou. So, perhaps your experience was an isolated one with that particular hairdresser. Just something to consider.

Just to add to this post... please remember that these hairstylist are independant. I also go to Maribou, and have an amazing hairstylist. I will never go anywhere else again. I know it's hard to trust new people when it comes to your hair... but I always recommend with any hairstylist, go to one that is by referral. No matter how nice a place is, there is no better advertisement than a friend who loves their hair!

I'll join in on praises for Maribou, I see Tiffany and she is a true professional and does an outstanding job. I also was referred by a friend. I like the atmosphere at Maribou as well and having been willing in the past to pay OUTRAGEOUS prices for top notch hairstylists, I'm very pleased with the mainstream pricing at Maribou and what I get for it.

This about the Grand Salon on Blue Ravine. BEWARE. My hair now looks worse than a mop. The color is in patches. I may as well have asked my 2 year old to paint it. Never stepping foot there again.
