Bellaj,

Its your title of your post that makes its so offensive by applying a label to a group of people you don't know. The fact you can't seem to recognize its effects, speaks loudly about your beliefs.

IMO, you owe both the good citizens of GB and conservatives an apology for your condescending title. If you want to move to a community to enjoy the benefits of their standards and hard work, maybe you shouldn't be so condescending towards them before you get there.

You can call any name you want, all I ask is for you to get in line and take your turn, but I have to chuckle over being called thin skinned....that is a new one. Congratulations!

No, the title is not offensive and I'm not apologizing. I think your post is hilarious BTW. It's always conservatives who are complaining that this country is too concerned about being "politically correct" -- somehow my asking if an area is too conservative on this board is totally offensive to an entire community.

I hope the "good citizens" of GB have more important issues to worry about than a title to a posting on a website. Perspective please!

Hey, this is California, I'm sure your children will experience a wide range of everything regardless of location.

Then why was your most important issue is if a place is too conservative?

I'm not surprised...you offend people then deny you do.

I do agree with you in that the good citizens of GB have more to worry about...one already told me they are worried about possible new neighbors rolleyes.gif

This whole thread seems a little silly to me. If you truly want a really liberal neighborhood then homes are available in Berkeley or anywhere in Marin. If you want a diverse neighborhood, most areas will work. As long as they are not burning books or witches in GB, what is the problem? smile.gif

I never said it was my most important issue. I guess I have to spell things out for people or they make absurd assumptions.

THERE ARE A LOT OF FACTORS I'M CONSIDERING IN MAKING A DECISION WHERE TO MOVE, this was just one on which I thought I could get some input from people who leave in the nearby area (since there is NO similar type website for GB to my knowledge).

But yes, I am a volvo-driving liberal. I happen to do well for myself in a corporate job and can afford a nice neighborhood with great schools. And yes, it's true that I don't want to live where everyone is closed-minded, anti-evolutionists, book burning, RUSH fans. Some I can tolerate, just not an entire community.

I don't have any reason to believe that GB is like that; and having learned virtually nothing from this board other that people are quick to make assumptions and get defensive, I probably will move to GB and enjoy life over there.

So have fun in Folsom without me. I'm sure I won't be missed.

p.s. W is the worst President we've ever had.

cheers!

I know, I know...Just wanted confirmation that they aren't burning books. (I have heard they try to ban books from h.s. classes, etc.)

Ah....You guys chased Bellaj away.

Bellaj, if you are looking for a nice neighborhood in GB; I would suggest the area tucked up behind Raley's. The homes are really pretty and the neighborhood is quiet. Quick access to HWY 80 down Douglas. Some of them have really beautiful gardens, too.

If you want the quiet neighborhood, big open house but not the big mortgage-try Loomis. Just a minute or two from there.

I have found that if someone really hates conservatives that much they usually end up moving to the Bay Area.

Some people just can't take others that don't think like they do anymore.

Be careful here, Gaelic. Robert will take offensive at you applying a label to a group of people you don't know.

Cw, Since Gaelic said he found, I'll assume he is talking about people he knows and its based upon his own experiences.

I'm NOT qualified to be telling people their experiences are wrong.

Gaelic knows all the people in the Bay Area? That's who I was talking about.
