Old Spaghetti Factory better than Strings, Mama Ann's, and Goodfellas? Yeah, you really know what you are talking about.

Not sure why the french laundry would represent California?
Don't get me wrong i think it's the best restaurant in California

This is proof that this guy has no taste whatsoever...buddy, you just lost any credibility that you had left-
I used to be a cook at both macaroni grill and olive garden and they get most of thier food frozen. The sauces come in a bag! And meatballs come from a vendor frozen (and sometimes green!) The fact that you gave "better" ratings to places like these and not to places that make EVERYTHING homemade (Goodfellas and Mama Ann's) says that you like to eat crap! Dude, go back to where you came from and get back in line at burger king! YOU ARE A JOKE

At least it's better than what he heats up in the microwave while sitting in his mom's basement.
Macaroni Grill's stuff always sounds like it will be good, while you're reading the menu. And then you taste it and it's blah. Get some Monterey Pasta and sauces at Costco-it's better.

Well, if you like the Kitchen, but the wait is too much of a hassle, try Randall Selland's new restaurat Ella downtown. Expensive still (lunch for two was $75 before tip, no wine), but you can get in. Beautifully done.
Really enjoyed French Laundry (though he likes to use offal, which, in my opinion is named appropriately). When I was there you could order a tasting menu, chef's selection, or pick five choices from about 8-9 selections.
Not impressed with Bouchon. Got canned tuna on the nicoise salad (yes, they said it was canned).
The Kitchen is a great experience. Randall Selland is a very nice man. Interesting article in Sac Mag about the opening of Ella, maybe a month or two ago. He does not use offal!

HOLY #$%# you're kidding right? $75 for lunch for 2 because "you can get in?" Uh yeah at those prices they should do more than just feed ya lunch but that was with no tip and no wine? Cripes, it must be really nice to blow $100 bucks on a lunch because waiting at a less expensive place is too much of a hassle.
You must be the same person in charge of turning the lights off at the local fields.....

Thank you for your respond.
I respectfully disagree. I have neen to Nobu in Vegas and Manhattan, and I also have been to Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills a dozen times over the past several years. The BEST Japanese restaurant in the USA.
Bon Appetit!
