Every single sports personality is stating the Pats will go 19-0. No way. The 72 dolphins will be popping champagne sometime soon.
ok-end of rant

Ok- Time for me to man up. Congrats to the Pats for an unbelievable season. I really did not think a team could run the table in this day and age with salary caps, free agents, etc.
But the Pats are on the way to perfection. This is by far the best over-all team I've ever seen in all my years of watching football. I think my problem is more with the media, who year after year say the same thing when a team is still undefeated in week 7-8...but looks like its true this time...

Even when the Patriots and Brady don't look all that good (yesterday) they win! This is a hell of a team! The Superbowl will be a fantastic game and I'm sorry that I will miss it. Go Patriots! patriot.gif

And now I have no choice but to hope they remain undefeated for their remaining game because I HATE THE GIANTS!!

What a great game. The New York defense was nothing but great. Manning, when he got away from that sack and through that long pass. WOW what a game....

Two Manning's in a row win the Super Bowl...

Anyone else think that Mr. Belichick's walking off the field before the game was over was in poor taste? Methinks he can dish it, but can't take it.

You're kidding right? The first 3 quarters of the game were awful. Sloppy play, dropped passes, and oh, do ya think Bill shoulda tried for the field goal instead of going for it on 4th and 13?? DUH?? He really needed those 3 points at the end.

Brady's line was horrendous, they couldn't stop anything. And the Defense, well they couldn't hold off a score in the last 2:30 of the game. Pitiful.

Oh and ALL the commercials sucked too. I can't believe some of these companies pay marketing folks to come up with the garbage they did.

The first three quarters were a defensive battle.

Should Bill have tried for the FG? Uhhhh yeah. But a) it was a 50 yard attempt-hardly a "gimme" and b) this is the purest example of how full of himself Belicheck is. All season long he's thumbed his nose at opposing defenses, but this defense was putting up quite a fight.

Thing is, had they converted, you'd likely had been at the front of the pack beating the "Belechick is a genius and the Pats are unstoppable drum".

Yet another testimonial to the old axiom, "defense wins championships" don't you think?

On this we agree. Disappointing. Maybe they figured people weren't as interested in the commercials this year, since the Pats were going to make history? I don't know. THe only one I got a chuckle out of was the fire breather. It was all downhill after that.

Agreed! It was a GREAT game! Defensive battles can be very exciting. I don't know that the Patriots played pooryly so muhc as the Giants playing the best geme they had in them.

There was nothing cheap in that one.

As for the commercials, I didn't pay a lot of attention, but I remember the 'fire breather', the Charles Barkley one, and I thought the best one was the Audi commerical with the front end in the rich guy's bed. I wondered if that one was over some people's heads.

I would say the Patriots offensive line was ineffective in stopping the NY defensive line from harrassing Brady. NY defense did their job well, and that's what stopped the Pats from running away with the game as so many predicted. I thought it was a great game. My wife won her football pool, it the pats would have scored one more touchdown in the last seconds, I would have won my companies pool.
I would rather be Backpacking

It was a classless act in my opinion. Belichick is a sore loser. Its one thing to treat media like crap but walking off the field with time on the clock is total dis-respect to the Giants.
