Shame on me for expecting that a restaurant that normally has free tables for walk ins would actually be willing to accept my business.
I've been to plenty of restaurants that have nearly all of their tables reserved year round--but they always have a few tables open for walk ins.
Furthermore, they always post a sign outside if they are not accepting any more reservations or if they do not have any free tables.
Why is everyone giving me such a hard time about expecting a restaurant to behave like a restaurant?
Jeesh. Anyway, I'me over my Kobe cravings--even tho I didn't get one.
Now I'm craving bison burgers.

There's a few other closer places that serve really good burgers too.
1) Balcony Bistro
2) Manderes
3) Bailies
4) Gourmet Express
all of these burgers are in the gourmet category and you'll really like them - and you don't have to drive across the river to get there.

Except supermom lives on the Norf Syde!
I put Folsom Burgers in this order:
1) Folsom Bistro
2) Gourmet Express
3) Scotts Seafood
4) Balcony Bistro (if they could just get the bun right!)
5) Manderes
Never had a burger at Bailies.

uh--Balcony Bistro is that little 2 story jooint with the balcony on the upper floor directly across from Snooks? if that's the place your talking about--you so don't want to hear about Mothers Day last year.

Yes--I don't see it too often--tho it is yummers; especially on the open grill.
But what do you mean--no tip?
Ofcoarse I tip the cook!!
Ice cream for everyone!!!
Then ofcoarse the kids love to show their appreciation of ice cream by doing the dishes with only a modicum of sniping and toe crushing.

Sounds like they were acting like a restaurant - at least to my expectations. Your expectations are different.
I have never seen a sign that a restaurant like this was full (like a parking lot?).

That is a seriously good burger with the blue cheese on top. Everything about is is fresh and from scratch.

Because she's Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper MOM! And the place did a poor, poor job by not notifying everybody in a 20 mile radius that the busiest night of the year was reservations only. Poor, poor mgmt I tell ya. The customer is always right ya know, even when they are dead wrong!

I will concede, I have heard many good things about Karen's burgers, but never tried one. Seemingly, whenever I go there they're closed.
