I'm thinking about calling in rainy and going to Manderes.

Although all this talk about about French Dips has me craving one...

For todays weather, nýớc bún rêu (Vietnamese Crab Soup Base Rice Noodle Soup) OR Tom Yum Goong Noodle Soup (Thai Hot N Sour Rice Noodle Soup) OR Chicken, Shrimp, and Andouille Gumbo would be FANTASTIC!

I've found Thai Siam and Amarin don't have very good soups. I do like the Spicy Thai soup at La Bou, but got any recommendations (in or around Folsom) for real Thai soup?

I like Amarin's Tom Yum with shrimp. Order it on it's own, not part of the lunch special.

Not that this is Thai soup, but the Chicken Pazole at Taco Loco is very good. It's a little spicy and has lots of chicken and hominy in it. Friday lunches at TL are the best!

I refuse to eat at Taco Loco anymore. Tired of reversing charges on my credit card.

It's my day off, Manderes sounds good...

NONE in Folsom. The best place I have seen so far for Tom Yum Goong Noodle Soup is at Osha Thai Noodle Café in SF.
OSHA NOODLE TOM YUM $ 6.95
Shrimp, ground pork, fish balls, bean sprouts and fish cake with lime juice and rice noodles soup.
My other most favorite dish is:
GREEN CURRY PASTE FRIED RICE $ 6.95
Fried rice with green curry paste, coconut milk, bamboo, long bean, bell pepper and a choice of beef, chicken or pork. (Or with shrimps add $1.50)

Osha Thai Noodle Cafe

Really? Wow! I've never had that problem. I go there almost every Friday, sit at the Bar, Barb or Mark help me and I've never had duplicate charges. That's really too bad.
