No, I'm saying that BanHammerSurvivor is.
I can't say explicitely that you're not just another ID of this same person, but I don't think you are.

This Board has always had a level of censorship - some correct some not so correct-
As a long standing member and one that has some sharp opinions and does not like to take crap- I have been the cause of some censorship by reporting the mods- but I have also been the victim of it as well - many of which I fought about to the mods- some rectified some not --- and am likely the longest tenured member with the most censored posts.... Most were in the Politcal area and many were when someone was going after me personally ( my persona)-- instead of attacking the message- ( I was forever saying - Attack the message, not the messenger) ...
So I went away for a while a few times--- I don,t recall getting suspended - but that might have happened as well --
I went over to another local forum and said I would never return to this one due to the censorship - same as dave did... it was a bad time here-
But this forum has changed - maybe as a result and maybe topics are just not as hot and heavy as they once were--- so I came back and post on occasion - and occasionally stir the pot - understanding the limits .... ( or mostly _LOL) ...
But what we have been seeing recently is some very OVERT calculated and premeditated efforts from a few posters ( or maybe one or two that have multiple ID,s ) that are intent to draw a fight with the mods and others---and that is their ONLY INTENT....
Since I DO NOT view every topic and post like I used to - I may not see everything going on- but I was a good judge as the mods are of phisers- and fakes and those that only want to cause a ruckus...
and having said that- I think the idea of overt or random censorship in the posts that I have read is not the case- it is a level of control that needs to be maintained to protect the majority of this forum from those that are BENT on causing trouble ---
Sure some mistakes will happen but in my experiences talking to a mod or John in a PM can often get the issues resolved -
So if you have a beef with the mods- take them on direct and see that they are human and are working to make this forum someplace people want to come to view .... John has done a great job most of the time keeping this board sane ....
And if you dont want to do that- go to the other local forum where you can be anything you ever wanted to be.... but just DO NOT expect anyone to respond.... LOL
Cheers

Another great day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

I think your reading too much into stuff, and rewriting as you please.
My mom used to call that pretzel making.
Really all I'm saying is that you just joined this forum, you haven't been around much.
Most of the other posters really don't want discourse. They want intelligible conversations that allow for some tolerance and possibly to not get attacked. Usually that means if you think a conversation goes against the grain in what you like and you find that you can no longer continue a civil conversation then one or both must drop the conversation.
Really I have nothing against you--I just don't see why we all can't move on. And if the person is back--then lets welcome s/he and let bygones be bygones. It certainly appears the V's have not held this over the other posters head.

Would be a more intelligent comment if you spelled it correctly!
There are many avatars or pix that I find offensive, like chris v's "emo kids" one, but choose to turn the other cheek. Why didn't people do this with the banned member?

Fixed--I think.
Some times my thoughts move faster than my fingers.
I still am not sure what "emo" means.
When I asked my daughter who goes to middle school--she says it is a person who is depressed--like some little girl there who likes to cut herself. **shudder**

That's my point exactly. Why would he want to make fun of teens full of angst and depression? Hardly mature.
If I get what happened with the andrea v thing, it appears she has a picture of herself flaunting her bosoms on the board in the first place. Why would she put this up? Perhaps to garner some attention. If so, why would she then become irate if someone pays the attention to her and uses it as his avatar? Seems kind of hypocritical to me. Playing devil's advocate a little but perhaps she should be the one asked to remove the offending picture . . .

background appreciated
there must of been something more than just replacing Andrea's pix with something else to make this person get banned.
because if there isn't....then being banned for subsituting another pix for one he was asked to remove seems a bit over the top.
by the way..I have been known to argue just for the sake or arguing, but in this case, I think I am right(unless there is more info we are not privy to)

I think it's less about the appropriateness of the picture or being creepy, and more about the actions of the user. She asked nicely to have it removed, but he had a point to make. It was removed and he was informed, but he still put it back. Then he tried to 'sneak' it in with the old car. That's just ignoring the requests of the owner and subject of the picture, and from the owner and moderators of the forum. If you can't respect their wishes, don't be here.
In the meantime, while playing the picture game, he also continued to be his usual harassing persona in his posts.
All in all, unwelcome here.
