American Idol 2008

I don't get the judges sometimes. Last week Randy told Romeile (sp) that she has a
'big voice and needs to use it'. Last night she used it, and he told her, 'that song was too big for you.'
Chickezie did a great version of 'If only for one night', which Randy thought was too much of a throwback and that he didn't do anything new with it. Simon thought it was cheesy the way he sang to a girl in the audience (something that singers do all the time, even Idol ones).
The Aussie guy does 'We are the champions' which sounded just like Queen's version, except without the high notes, and the judges were in love.
Kristie sang a corn-ball version of a corny song, and they thought it was her best ever.
The weird dread kid 'Fragile'. His vocals were good, but his guitar accompaniment was amateurish. I think they got it right in their criticism of him, particularly when Simon implied that he wasn't taking it seriously.
The rocker kid was awesome, and they gave him props for that.
Syesha was about perfect on 'If I was your woman', I think they mostly liked it.
There, I feel better now that I've got that off my chest. How much do I owe you?

I hope Brooke wins Idol, I think she'd be a good Idol.
Regarding Randy and Ramiele, I think he meant because she was sick this week. That said, I can't stand her and it's strictly personal. She reminds me of someone I detest, and I don't detest many people so that's big in my mind.
I thought the Aussie did a horrible job and was completely surprised to see the judges loving it. I thought it was a lot of yelling with very little melodic qualities to it.
Carly stunk! She rushed the song and was completely unattached from the it.

I like Jason Castro but he's getting way too laid back and playing it safe...
and David Archuletta is getting too predictable
The way I see it - who's performance would compell me to want to spend money on their albums?
so far, its only David Cook and Jason Castro for me
I think the Aussie guy or Carol may be the next to go

My wife is in an uproar about that. In the Youtube link above the ugly guy says "With Chris Cornells version"... was that said live, or did that just come out in post-editing?

Why is she in an uproar? I don't see a problem.
I love David Cook. He's been my fave since the beginning. I actually liked Michael Johns for the first time last night.
I hope Kristy goes home. I thought her performance was horrendous!
