That's an unfair statement. I would look good in anything.

Allen might not be the most neutral opinion, judging by which side of the bar he was on last night.

We were at Old Europe for our monthly Active 20-30 social meeting and it was a great experience. Good food, good venue. I'll argue for return visits...

Glad to hear you liked the place.
A few of us had a good time at the Grand Opening on Tuesday - I brought my wife and daughter and we saw Stanage70, lornaknits, mylo and allen there. Had a nice time chatting with folks and met the landlord who owns the place. Had to thank him for keeping the bldg as is and not turning it into a high rise. That's a realy great location and I expect Old Europe to do very well there.

We enjoyed it, and appreciated the ambience they have created. They did a nice job!
Ruladen was great, Hungarian Goulash was great, and Spaten to wash it down. I almost felt like I was back in Germany.
Everyone was very friendly!

My wife an I ate there the other night. I opened the window at our table and let the breeze blow in.. we ate, talked, and watched people walk by. It was very nice.
* note - they don't have the hamburger on the dinner menu.

Excellent!
Had some family in town this weekend and took them to Old Europe - they really enjoyed it. The service is very good and the food and drink is excellent. We really like this restaurant.

In addition to the new website (www.oldeuropeonline.com) here are a few more interesting facts about the restaurant Old Europe located in historic old Folsom;
We have in the works; an evening with our very own celebrity Chef Jonathan (formally of The Ravine) to prepare a special diner meal with wine pairing. This is going to be really good. Stay tuned for more details.
Live music on Friday and Saturday nights.
Sunday Brunch menu that is fantastic.
A special late night menu on the weekends that includes the famous German burger and a wonderful filet mignon.
Home made sausages prepared in our own kitchen and smoked on premises.
A lovely patio to sit outside and enjoy the great Folsom weather
Homemade desserts and when the apple strudel comes out of the oven the smells are amazingly good!
Homemade Rye bread baked right in the kitchen, yet another great smell and taste.
I could go on and on, but the point is; the family and Chef at Old Europe is working hard every day to purchase and use the best ingredients and prepare the best European food for your dining pleasure.
A big most sincere and humble THANK YOU to all who have supported us - we love to see you every time you are there and it is truly our pleasure to serve you. Thank you to this forum MyFolsom.com for helping us get the word out and keep you posted on new happenings (John, can we use our new website to link to this site?)
And to those who have not had a chance to come by; come on over grab lunch or a beer at the bar or stay for dinner and enjoy a taste of Old Europe in the restaurant or patio and enjoy this unique dinning gem that Folsom can call its very own.
Thank you.
