I really hope this is just a fluke, but went to Strings tonight around 6:30 and their doors are closed and no one in sight! Should be open according to the hours, and no other signs visible.

We tried to go to Strings this evening. Again, it was closed. The good news is that they did have a sign on the door saying they were closed for repairs and would reopen soon. Let's hope they do.

I just got off of the phone with a friend of mine whose son has worked there for over a year. According to him, the bank has been caliing every day, they turned off the power the other day and his Manager is on (vacation). in the mean time the workers all young people have not recieved their paychecks.... hhhmmmmm. This does not sound good, I advised her to have him contact the state Of Calif. Labor Relations Board to see where he stands as far as his pay is concerned. He mentioned that the last few weeks they have filled out their timecards by hand, instead of via the computer...

oh NOO!!!!!! We LOVE Strings. It's one of our very favorite because its always comfortable and has a nice menu. We had noticed the last two times we went that they had cut out the sunflower seeds and raisins from the salad and watered down the dressing.

too too bad. I hope it is temporary. the wait staff there were always really nice young folks.

Strings just placed an ad with us just to show people that they are indeed open. They said they get calls all the time asking if they are still open and they wanted everyone to know that they are alive and well.

Most people have NO clue to run/operate a successful restaurant or food service business.

I just noticed Planet Smoothie is gone. I know it was a juice place and not a restaurant. Not sure if it has been a gone awhile or just closed up. Haven't been there in a long while though.

Went out this evening for some chicken shawarma...
Much to my surprise Mr. Kebab was closed (the one near Safeway).
Ooops.

I went to Pita Pita instead.

I am so sad--this was my favorite takeout place. And the man at the counter was always SO nice! Maybe he moved?

We went to Strings tonight and the salad had sunflower seeds and raisins and the dressing was just perfect! There was a decent sized crowd there by the time we left too so hopefully they will be okay.

Just got back from eating there! Food is still good. They have the best chicken strips I have ever had! Also, you can't beat five bucks for a coors light and three tacos! I really like Mooneys and hope they succeed. According to the owner, their official grand opening is tonight. Maybe worth checking out.
