I'm still trying to figure out who was asked to not come back to the forum.

I guess that's what I get for rarely checking the political threads, lately.

hmm.

I am assuming it was Darthvader and FolsomFrogGuy, but you know what happens when I assume. (=

My other guesses were EDF and UncleVinny, but they've both posted since this thread began.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING MY GIRL.
We could not be doing this without you.
Much love and gratitude.

Haven't heard from either DV or FFG. Gotta follow the rules.

If you try to PM them, you might find they are no longer eligible to receive PM's.

Whoa this thread grew fast. I haven't read through all 7 pages, but for what it's worth even though I like politics personally (I'm I guess a left leaning moderate and try to civilly understand everybody's side) I can understand why it needed to be axed. I've been on other message boards where politics and religion especially tended to get way out of hand. Although it's unfortunate the few bad apples have to ruin it for everyone.

This politics closure is really annoying me at the moment.

With what is going on in Copenhagen, I so much want to discuss this with my fellow folsomites.

I've PMed a few, but it just isn't the same as open discussion on this forum. I don't want to join some other political forum to discuss it, I want to discuss it with my friends on here.
People I have a local connection with.

But as the politics is closed, I will refrain from posting things about it on the Open topic forum, I will respect john's wishes that politics is closed.

But I had to rant on here my frustrations.

I agree.....I find it annoying too...I want to talk about subjects but really don't want to join another forum.

<naughty>
What? There are things worthy of discussion going on between now and Jan 8, 2010? How can that be?
We all know the science is settled on AGW...Copenhagen is just an exercise in formality. And the single largest shift of government funds to health care is basically a done deal so why discuss? Those Navy Seals being prosecuted are probably guilty anyway, and any discussion we would have had about them is moot....

<Nice>
Dear Santa,
I know I might be asking too much, as a quick survey finds me on both the naughty and nice list, but all I want is my childlike innocence back so I can believe the government has my best interests at heart, everybody loves Americans, the dollar is actually worth something, and my taxes are being used in a fiscally wise and prudent way...
If you cannot work that miracle, I ask only for a new soapbox and a forum to use it in.

Thanks,
JBailey

Nearly spit my drink.

Please note, my post above I did not take sides and make any political comment, I merely reported on my angst that we aren't allowed to discuss politics for the moment.

Leave it to a moderator to violate the rules and make a political statement. Especially the one that says he's glad it's closed. HYPOCRIT! tongue.gif

Could you whiners keep it down? We're trying to have a serious discussion about burritos.
