I didn't bring a lunch to work today, so I'm in dire need of a lunch plan.

And last time at the Smokehouse, I had the chicken, I think I need to try the ribs to really judge them as a BBQ hut.

So my plan, is Sierra Smokehouse, 11:30.

Anyone else care to join me?

Thanks for doing that! I was afraid it looked like I put it there. I think it appeared when the threads were merged, and it definitely didn't belong on a place with such good grub!

I went the other day and picked up some "Sammiches" for my Barber and one of his co-workers... They had the Beef Brisket and Pulled Pork and RAVED! about them.. Like I said this is as close to the BEST BBQ! we have available.. worth the drive...

Seems there needs to be some sort of Folsom "do" where we need to invite these kind folks down here to show us there wares...

Had a BBQ craving yesterday and got my fix at Sierra Smokehouse BBQ with the Addict - beef brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs and chicken with 2 sides and cornbread.

Also saw a flyer for Ribstock - Sept 18 10-8pm at Cameron Park CSD Lake off Cambridge Road. Several teams are competing and sounds like a good time.

We finally made it up there for the first time last weekend and thought the ribs especially were awesome!
Hubby and I both got the Addict so we had too much food, but we wanted to try everything being that it was our first visit All the meats were very good but the ribs were both our favorite, totally juicy and tender.

He actually plans to go up there tomorrow night while I'm at a school fundraiser with the kids... Sounds pretty unfair to me!

We heard them talking about RibStock to other customers and it sounds like a good time. We're going to try to make
it up there.

You might call to see if they'll be open as there is also a Big BBQ contest in Cameron Park at the Shopping Center on Coach lane.

Just wanted to bump this thread. My husband and I ate at Sierra Smokehouse again yesterday for lunch and it was amazing as always. We seem to be the only one in the place each time we visit, and with all of the locally owned places closing lately, I'd just like to re-encourage people to take a trip up to CP to be sure this place survives!
