I would be bothered if the purpose of the posting was to make a big joke out of reckless behavior. If, however, the teen is posting the picture(s) as a warning to others, I wouldn't be bothered. Does anyone here know the tone/purpose of the posting?

But I am curious about the facebook posting.
Tried googling it nothing happened.
Is this a private facebook? If that's the case-I would imagine that the person is communicating with close friends and family about the accident. I imagine a lot of persons are asking questions.
If its a public facebook-one would wonder about the clarity of respect for the other friends while they are in the hospital.
Another thing: are you sure its the driver posting on facebook? 'Cause I thought he was in juvenile hall?
Oddly-after hearing that jack daniels and pot played a role in the accident-it doesn't surprise me the driver was gripping the steering wheel and telling the firemen they were his heroes. The pick of the drivers side of the vehicle almost makes you wonder if the door was even openable.
Hmmm- but pot doesn't hurt people, right?
Should we blame just the alcohol-and label pot the same as aspirin-a pain reliever?
Hmmmm

Not that I quite comprehend your post, but here is the driver's latest Facebook status:

He's learning his lesson. I personally applaud this status.
EDIT: The original post had his name, I realized I should respect his privacy.

I agree with both sides of the argument. Those kids were stupid, irresponsible, and should have some serious consequences. The parents also should have some consequences. They are responsible for their children that are under age 18. Whether the kids snuck out or whatever, the parents should have some degree of accountability.
I am a parent of two little ones and I am praying I make it through the teenage years. I hope I am teaching them to be strong and make good decisions. Only time will tell. Until that time, I won't act like I know it all, because I don't. I have had to eat too many words already while raising my kids.

That said, I hope the kids are all okay and live to suffer the consequences and hopefully learn from them.

Unless I have the drivers name wrong, the caption for the photo I am looking at is actually "It Felt Great" and I don't see anything about "don't drink n drive"

Are you a close friend of any of these kids involved in this accident?
Or more like a friend of a friend of friend who heard from a an assosiate that an guy who once was a third grade classroom buddy .....
I'm just curious.
Perhaps because I do not want to get caught up in highschool rumor mill behavior.
I don't actually think don't drink and drive after 3 friends are in a hospital is excessively bad-unless I knew the person and thought they were BSUMA. They I would get offended.
As for the its great-what's great?
You drink and drive-total a car, hurt 3 other human beings and still have access to online social sites?
Why isn't this kid in juvenile hall?

Drugs and alcohol aside, why?
That is my opinion.

wow 3:30 in the morning??
What parent in their right mind lets their kid stay out to almost 4am?
I've been holding back from commenting on this but wow, that's some pretty crappy parenting to either 1) not know where your kid is or 2) allow an underage teen to stay out past midnight.
Also- even if that guy had had a legit drivers license - teens are not allowed to drive around other teens, no exceptions.
I'm surprised the driver did not get arrested for 1) driving under the influence 2) driving without a license 3) stolen car? 4) driving other teens 5) almost killing three people 6) possession of drugs and alcohol etc etc
I have to agree with supermom - why is he out free and posting on social sites?

Apparently curfew isn't enforced by parents or the FPD. Perhaps if it had, an accident would have been prevented.

Dave, that is why I brought the TIME of the accident up. It was not being discussed. And if the accident had not happened they may have been out all night, who knows.

Reminds me of what my dad used to say when I was of college age: "There's only two types of people on the road at that hour, cops and criminals".

Even those of you who were the best behaving kids made some poor choices in adolescence (yes, I did, too). Any one of our bad choices may have resulted in lives being significantly different. I believe God had better plans for me, thus I sidestepped some minefields. It was not until I was much older that I realized that I was not invincible and chose to make some changes. I just hope these kids survive and learn from this and make changes.
I also pray for the parents. We all know that this is the most difficult job we will ever have. Sure, maybe some things could be handled differently but we can't sit on the sidelines and referee THEIR game. None of us are perfect, either. They must be going through a gut-wrenching time.

You do have the driver's name wrong. The picture you are looking at is one of the passengers. And I'm pretty sure "it felt great" can be categorized under sarcasm, not "it felt great guys, go drink and drive!"
Or more like a friend of a friend of friend who heard from a an assosiate that an guy who once was a third grade classroom buddy .....

The people in the crash were mutual friends, yes, but I'm getting this information from his personal, public Facebook page, not from "highschool rumor mill behavior". Your tone, to me, is very accusatory and jumping-to-conclusions. Is it because I'm a teen and therefore have no reliable information to give?
And I'm just saying, he could probably give a password to a friend and have him/her post it for him.

They were NOT out at 3:30 AM, this occurred at around 11:30 PM. So they were not out past midnight. Please check your info!

I was out an hour prior to the incident with my boyfriend and his family, which would have been 10:30 PM. To me, 10:30 PM sounds like a very reasonable time to go home.
