JRudi, if you want anyone on here to believe anything you say, let us know who you really are...

You must work for the city or have in the past.

I know people who work for the city, and I trust them as reliable sources for my information.

"Folsom Telegraph from September 1, 2010 lists on page A17: Public Notice of Amended City of Folsom Ordinance adopted by City Council on 8/24/10: The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Chapter 5.20 increasing the number of authorized cardroom tables from 6 to 9, increasing the number of authorized players per table from 8 to 10, and permitting unlimited wagering. Ayes: Howell, Miklos, Morin, Starsky. Noes: Sheldon."

In regards to THIS council decision, I have to say I am disappointed. While people have the right to gamble, do we really want to provide gambling establishments with a 50% increase in Folsom? With the ordinance change, it increases from the prior 48 maximum players to now 90 maximum players.....with unlimited wagering. Can someone explain to me what the REAL purpose of this is? I do not want Folsom to become another Red Hawk or Thunder Valley.

P.S. JRudi, thank you for what you are doing. You are entitled to your opinion, and freedom of speech allows you to be able to express yourself. You have been respectful of others posts, even though you have been attacked more often than not. You seem to be knowledgeable and I appreciate you wanting to enlighten other Folsomites. Whether I may agree or not is ENTIRELY up to me! With the concerns going on in our city and state, I think it is important for everyone to become involved and finally make INFORMED decisions....and not just follow the pack! Thank you and I just wanted to let you know, that I for one, appreciate your dialogue.

JRudi, I have heard that you do work for the city, at least for now. Care to comment...
A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

Remember, Mr. Fish. He used to come on here quite often and put out great information. Some of it I didn't agree with but we all knew who he was/is. By the way, I miss seeing Mr. Fish on here. Can't remember his first name.

JRudi, who are you???

Is this an intimidation ploy by Ms. Howell? If so, please tell her it was a nice try.

Well, you seem to be uneasy with council member who are too cozy with developers and you mentioned Kowzlowski specifically. This is all his facebook page says. What does he mean by "expand"?

"Folsom and it's residents have not been immune to the economic downturn, but have been somewhat insulated from the drastic downturn many other areas have experienced.

This is in large part because we have very well run businesses located in Folsom. We need to protect and expand that economic advantage
."

Thank you all for considering an alternative to the current city council. I have been observing the discussion and thought that I could be more clear about a couple things in advance of a comprehensive set of questions. I am an Architect and I am open about my living being inexorably tied to development. I am not however intimate with the local residential and commercial developers. I have been designing green schools for the last few years.

With regard to my "expand" comment. I apologize if my basic concern is too elementary, but we need more "intel" or more "intels". A solid highpaying pool of proffesional jobs is why we have had a relatively easy go in the face of severe economic pressure. Obviously it is not a big enough pool to insulate us completely, lets work on that.

I will be happy to answer all other questions and eleborate as needed. I can always be reached directly at mike@mike4folsom.com

Mr. Kozlowski,

Thanks for clarifying and welcome to the forum. If that is what you mean by expand, I'm listening and happy to hear it. I agree totally. We need to attract more jobs to Folsom that have decent pay and require more than the ability to ask, "Do you want fries with that?"

that information about the card room is darn nasty. goes along with the honkey tonks on sutter street leading good people down the wrong path.

next thing we will hear is them letting someone start a pool hall and then that will be the end of our kids.

there will be trouble right here in folsom city..

Who did you hear this from? I'd love to know who is saying things behind the scenes?

I've been to city hall quite a few times, Robert. Enough said. If he doesn't have the will to "come out", so be it.

We will find out soon enough.

Sorry Cal but in your previous post you said you "HEARD" they worked at City Hall, so obviously you had to "hear" from somebody else.

Why are you protecting who you heard it from all the while asking the poster to reveal themselves?

Calvin, I think you are a really good guy with many good chararestics, but you are unintentionally helping coverup the very crap that many of us are trying to expose and probably the very thing JRudi has been talking about!

Who is that shadowy figure lurking behind the scences spreading inuendo? Please don't try and be funny and tell us its the "Dude".

Your community of Folsom needs you to step up and tell the truth and expose what the majority already knows!

I still think you are good guy!

All I am saying is, someone at city hall.

If Rudi doesn't want to "Come Out" that is fine.
