Reality, what a concept!

FACTS - JUST THE FACTS MA'AM!

Dude, you made a pretty picture but I really do think you mixed some numbers up, right there. Mixing some fed and state casualties by type of death paints an unreasonable bias.

To Supermom... your last post ^ does not make any sense. Please don't confuse the issue with unintelligible comments? The objects of killing are not the problem.... It's the people that use them that are. Responsible gun owners are not the problem and that represents the overwhelming majority of those that do own a gun.
Biden made the idiotic statement yesterday that if the new laws save only one child then it's worth it. In that case, ban autos, alcohol, knives, bats, etc. Because if it saves only one life then it's worth it.
Please focus on the real issue, mental health or the lack there of. The break down of the family unit. Drugs and gangs and the glorification of violence in rap and hip hop music.

If you are going to accuse someone of "bias" or "mixing" the numbers, then feel free to present the "real" numbers. Go ahead !!

Biden has got to be the dumbest person in politics I've ever seen! Do sane people really think he is even remotely good for our country? Besides for comic relief being that he is a clown.

WIsh someone would have asked him how those gun laws are working out so far????? They have some of the toughest gun laws in Chicago, they are the murder capital of America - CT has very strict laws too already and they didn't work. Time to try something new.....

Maybe stop giving AK's to the Mexican cartels would be a good start!!!!

For any law passed, it should have a sunset provision. If it doesn't solve the problem, or at least greatly contribute to the solution, it should be revolked since it is restricting our freedoms. Just like the tax cuts, Congress should have to vote to keep it in effect.

Ugh....folks, a person can legally own a semi-automatic handgun with a 10-shot clip, and be perfectly capable of using it properly and storing it properly. [Mod edit]. Please get a grip....no pun intended.

I suppose you [mod edit] also wish that law enforcement had no guns either.

But I must admit, you amuse me.

Handguns do not have "clips". They have magazines.

A good example of a clip is the stripper clip to allow a user to load a M1 or M-16, AR-15 etc magazine

Over 11k deaths in the US by firearm in the 2001.

When I said it looks like the numbers have been purposely mixed between state and federal to make a reader agenda, I meant it.

As you can see from just two sources I have provided: the Dude's "factoid sheet" is misleading.

It doesn't mean I am a lib or conservative, just because I notice it. Nor does it mean I am convoluting the conversation.

So, back to the question I was trying to ask: where can I find deaths by automatic fire vs semi automatic or shotgun the year before the first "anti auto" or "anti-assault" laws for Ca? And how can be breach the questions in whether or not there actually have been any significant decrease or increase if we take into account the ration of population?

I'm not quite sure what the "supermom" "chart" shows, but I have to wonder if she knows the difference between fully-automatic weapons and semi-automatic weapons and shotguns.

She is spouting the classic, knee-jerk "let's ban guns" liberal mantra. That dog don't hunt, ma'am.

Oh well.

Liberals are "emotions-based" and "feelings-based"...they are not "facts-based". That's why they flounder around when they try to argue their point.

Liberals also tend to feel superior to others...which is a whole 'nother thread to have someday...or maybe not.

your sentiments apply to both sides of the fence.
