I think we figured out finally why she whines at night. She was looking for a comfortable and private spot in our room to sleep. We picked a good spot for her and she was quiet last night.

Where is the dog at night? Is it isolated in a room by itself and, if so, is that a change from before the baby came?

The evening time is the worse.  It is a time when Christopher is at his worst in crying.  All caretakers are exhausted and testy.  AND here goes the freaking dog with all her problems at that particular worst of time.

She is ok in the day times.

How many caretakers are we talking about here for one little baby? tongue.gif

I had 4 dogs once upon a time. None had to be put to death, they all died in their own time.

By the way.... a small Cloud9 was born on 9/9 @ 5:43pm 6lbs 7oz 18.5". She still hasn't been named.... smile.gif Guess we'll pick up a baby names book tomorrow.

Who's up next?

We went home to Folsom from Elk Grove today. My wife sord (spelling) through Chelsee's 'belonging' and told me that she's giving them away. At that moment it hit me hard that Chelsee is coming to the ending phase of her life as Christopher is starting his. All the fond memories with Chelsee and us just hit.

So, I told my wife not to give any of her belongings away and we will try our best to prolong her life with us. It's just too hard to let her go. She has been our child for so long since I rescued her from Southern California in 1994. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

The pet doc by Wal Mart said that her quality of life scale is 5 of 10. Pain and suffering scale is 5 of 10. He also said that if his family is having a baby and Chelsee is his dog then he would euthanize it. Those are his advices and we value them, but we will take one day at a time for Chelsee.
