That does NOT excuse him from taking poor information and using it to the degree he did- calling this a dangerous site filled with predators.....

And unless he is willing to apologize to this forum- and the parents- the issue is NOT closed...

You seem to be getting a little carried away. Why does he owe you an apology? I'm sure you've posted many things here that not everyone agrees with. Are you going to apologize to the forum too?

This presents quite an ambiguity. Either you do think MyFolsom.com can be dangerous, and ,therefore, not trustworthy. Or your teen ager is not trustworthy, and, therefore, cannot use Myfolsom.com, without parental supervision.

No ambiguity. In my home, my children are not allowed to be on ANY internet site unsupervised, whether or not I consider their destination site to be safe. My rule. It is enforced without exception.

My kids can only access the pbskids.org and pbs Sprout sites. They play games while we're around, but not looking over their shoulders. Easy to monitor now because they don't know how to surf, but I'm sure it will be different soon. I would much rather be overly cautious, than not enough.

The newsletter did not say that. Check your facts.

Read it again :

I realize you all are trying to protect this site but anyone that checks it out will probably realize that it is harmless. I'm closing this thread - time to turn the page.
