I agree. I'm over the curly head funny guy. I haven't really liked his performances since they started the live part of the show. I thought Lakisha was great. I personally dislike that song, but she performed it very well.

In previous seasons, the judges have commented about how their opinion changed about someone once they heard them on TV. Hearing it live versus TV makes a big difference.

... and what was up with them showing that crying girl over and over again! That poor girl needs help, not exploitation!

Sometimes it seems the judges hear things entirely differently than I do. I thought beat box kid's performance was shaky. They loved it.

I thought the curly head kid's version of 'She's not there' was bad. They liked it.

I thought Lakisha's rendition of 'Diamonds are Forever' was classic, they didn't.

Sanjaya blows.

I'm with you, Steve. I think the acoustics in the theater must be different from what we hear at home. I was surprised at several of their reviews last night. Not ready to vote yet, though. There are still too many, and I'll wait until they're pared down some more.

Bottom 3...

The Alien
Sanjaya
Gina "The Rocker"

and the loser is...

Phil "The Alien"

Sanjaya lives on!

Haley's outfit kept her alive for a bit.

Will anyone beat Melinda... only Jordin and LaKisha have a shot. The rest just suck as compared to these 3.

Is this your guess or a spoiler from an East Coast viewer? We should probably have a special coding to cover spoilers, for those of us who like to watch it and find out for ourselves.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING MY GIRL.
We could not be doing this without you.
Much love and gratitude.

Just a guess... and my opinion. I am sitting here in Folsom waiting patiently.

Actually... its airing on the East Coast right now.

My wife is in SLC on business... and I told her to not even tell me who gets kicked off since she will know 2 hours before we do.

I would definitely not want to spoil it for others. Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, don't spoil it for those of us on Hawaii-time. wink.gif Just kidding. I can just check here and not sit in front of the TV while in paradise. (Don't give me a hard time for being on the computer, I'm sitting on the lanai downloading photos and surfing while it does its thang.)

the gal that got kicked off I thought sung well.. Simon thought it was a bit of a let down... but come on Sanjaya... wasn't even in the bottom...

what is with AMERICA....Wake UP.... this guy doesn't have it....

You know the ones that Ryan Seacrest called to stand up with Melinda and Kiki breathed a sigh of relief cause they knew they weren't going to be voted off the island....that's why I was stunned when Ryan had Sanjaya stand up early with I forget whichi one of those two....

Anybody know the theme of next weeks show...?

They just did the bottom two.

I don't see the spoiler function, but maybe that's because I always use fast reply. I'll just say that Jolene was right, except Gina was not in the bottom.

If you don't want to know, don't read any further.............

It is the day after, I don't see why the final three or the person that got kicked off should not be shown. Quite blackening them out....

'American Idol' has surprise elimination

NEW YORK (AP) -- Is "American Idol" for real?

In a surprise, Stephanie Edwards -- one of this season's best singers -- was voted off the top-rated talent contest on Wednesday, while weak and sometimes unwatchable performers Sanjaya Malakar and Haley Scarnato were allowed to stay.

The untimely departure of Edwards, 19, of Savannah, Georgia, narrowed the number of "Idol" contestants to 10. The winner will be chosen in May.

Simon Cowell said on Tuesday's show that Edwards' rendition of Dusty Springfield's "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" lacked the edginess and youthful energy that she brought to her previous performances.

Paula Abdul echoed that sentiment, telling Edwards she should have "more fun" onstage.

Dodging viewer elimination was Chris Richardson, who had the next-lowest vote tally.

Richardson, 22, of Chesapeake, Virginia, had impressed judges with his smooth take on "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying." Cowell called it his "best performance so far," while Abdul praised him as "charming and sexy."

Wednesday's show also featured performances by this week's guest coaches: Peter Noone, who fronted the 1960s British rock band Herman's Hermits, and singer-songwriter Lulu.

In its sixth season, "American Idol" continues to dominate the ratings. It has attracted 26 million to 37 million viewers per telecast this season.
A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-
