Or it's just amazingly popular, the books look great, and they could make out with a windfall by selling now?

Ding, ding, I'd bet we have a winna.

Anyone know if Mr. Pickle has a rueben of any quality?

Your kidding about the windfall profit right? From earlier in this post:

Well Mr. Pickels has opened as of yesterday the 20th (of Aug)

So in a little over 2 months the guy is selling off a SANDWHICH shop because he can make a ton of dough? I find that really hard to believe.

Folks, it's a sandwich shop, not a top-shelf steakhouse. Nobody's gonna pay a premium price for that. Oh, sure, he's fishing for a dope who will pay, but when it's all said and done, he'll still be there a year from now. Wanna bet?
I have opinions, you have opinions. We'll just call it even...is that OK ??

for reference only, there is a developer of Mr. Pickels locally and his model is to build, start and sell each place within a few months. it is possible he has a revenue line to support his asking price. he also likely seeks to build not operate these stores.

i think your judgment may be premature.

Interesting process. I just hope whoever buys into it figures out that after the intial "WOW we have a Mr Pickles" wears off his revenue line will drop and he could end up on the Spicy list of biz for sale.

Mr. Pickles is typically a franchise operation. They may have opened this as a corporate store and are now trying to find a franchisee. Maybe a franchisee opened the store and for some reason now has to get out. Mr. Pickles stores are usually quite successful so I don't think the business is failing.

Mutiplied by 12 to get a years worth, round up for accounting errors in small fractions, times 3 to accomodate "growth potential", add another $100k for seasonal differences, and it's a STEAL at this asking price!

Rule of thumb for small, private owned business: Double what you think what your expenses will be and 1/2 what you think your revenue will be, then go from there.

I tried it for the first time today. Seems like they have higher quality ingredients than Subway, but I didn't like the whole food-handling-with-bare-hands-thing when I had no idea when they last washed their hands today if ever. The cashier also made sandwiches and handled money. Unappetizing.
I won't be back.

You have more germs on your cellphone or on your computer. I understand being grossed out about germs but my goodness...sometime people can purell themselves into a coma!!!
The whole cashier making sanwhiches would gross me out though!!! Because money is digusting!!!

When I worked in retail, there was this homeless guy that would try to pay for stuff with money that smelled like crap. The money was brown and everything...I would nearly vomit looking at him..let alone smelling him!!! I always told him to leave and that I would not take his money. I know it was mean but that man was so disgusting I could not breathe and almost vomitted nearly everytime!!!

Instead of complaining amongst each other, you might want to let the owner of Mr Pickles in Folsom know about SANITATION issue.

Owner of Mr Pickles: Rick Lanes
His Phone number (916) 230-7558
His email: rlane3rd@yahoo.com
