I neglected to announce and congratulate Jason as this week's winner.
Jason picked 10 correct on a weekend full of weird games. Jason wins a gift cert from My Brother Vinny's.
Speaking of My Brother Vinny's, we'll be gathering there this Monday, Oct 8, 530pm for Monday Night Football. All are welcome. Be there!
Get your picks in for this weekend's games. At first glance, they seem easy enough to pick.

Bridgitte and Easliger had the same number of winning picks as the good doctor and Gary D, but they did not pick a tie-breaker. Gotta do that.
Thank you to Mexquite for donating a $25 gift cert.
If you haven't tried them lately, they really seem to have come into their own. I like the Ensalada Costena (a killer seafood salad), and of course, those killer margaritas. Thanks Mario!
So far, it seems a safe call to pick the Pats and the Colts, though they play each other in 2 weeks. What to do?

And I thought my point total was doomed with only 36 points scored.
My wife will be thrilled... she loves Mexquite!

Most people picked well over 40 points on the tie-breaker, with 7 going for 50 or better.

That was crazy! Favre is just a wild, determined, find-a-way, make-it-happen type of guy.
What a finish!
Anyway, congratulations to Johnnyboy Gladding who won this week's pool!
John, me, kid creole, Gary D, ucdropout and packersgirl all got 11 right, but John's tiebreaker was 34, and the total score tonight was 32. Good job!
Packersgirl, you've got to choose a tie-breaker!
John wins a gift certificate to a local Folsom restaurant. I've got to check my grab bag to see which one.

OK, the guy is an OK quarterback at this stage of his career, but is anyone else tired of every broadcast of a Packer game turning into a coronation of Favre? I mean, enough already. It becomes a gushing suck-up-fest every time. Hey, he's a QB, not the second coming of Christ, folks. The whole praise-a-thon and talking about Favre in almost Biblical terms has really gotten old...and ridiculous. Just my .03
