We have to give this place a try. What do you suggest we order for a first time sampling?

I too finally tried this place a couple of weeks ago. Took the wife out with another couple. We loved it. We enjoyed general chicken, sweet and sour prawns, house chow mein and eggrolls. This initial visit led to a few lunches there the following weeks. The food is excellent and the owner is very friendly! I strongly encourage everyone to try it...I think that lunch was only about $11 for me including a beer. I had tons of leftovers to take home.

Man, now I am hungry...

Order one of the lunches. It comes with great soup, won tons and a cream cheese / crab rangoon (these are delicious, though mysteriously short on the crab). The sesame beef is great too..

I am hooked on the Salt and Pepper fish. Fresh chunks of white fish fried in a light batter then tossed with chilis and a bit of onion.

My wife loves the General's Beef.

Daughters love the chow fun, and the tofu dishes (ma po is my favorite)

Chinese broccoli with garlic, szechuan green beans, wor won ton soup.

Explore and experiment.

We were just there tonight... had the dinner for 4 combo meal ("Mandarin"?). Included soup, fried wontons, spring rolls, pork fried rice, chicken chow mein, sweet & sour chicken, lemon chicken, and broccoli beef. About $36 + tax/tip. Even with hearty servings, there was still more than enough food for the five of us. We took more than a full plate's worth home. We also had a coupon for a free chicken fried rice - took this home for lunch tomorrow.

My wife and I went there for a late meal last week. It was superb. Reminded me of our younger days in SF. We'd go out dancing and end up in Chinatown or the Richmond for some Chinese grub.
