Could this maybe be Zinfandel Grille? Seems awfully cheap, though, and I don't think their back patio seating is that large.

I like the way you think!

I hope you have a good Dressing every time you have a Salad.

hmmmm. Haven't been to the Scott's out here. Do they have outdoor dining spots?

Perhaps Zinfandel Grille? Oh, I see Mylo checked me and Stacey on that one.

Spicy seems very convinced it's Amarin Thai, too. Spicy, care to backup that allegation?

I was asked to take over the place. At the present time, the business is NOT “very profitable” as claimed.

Many of the restaurants owners have no clue about “food” and “service” they try to sell & how to run the business successfully. They also have no clue about marketing their products.
Very often, if their business doesn’t do well, they blame everyone including the landlords/management properties.
Thank you for asking.

Do you currently run a restaurant? You seem very knowledgeable about the industry, just curious about your role in it.

He's a busboy at Amarin, they're desperate to find someone to takeover.

I am a "no one".

Halloween Prediction: The following businesses will eventually be in the market: Great Wraps, Suishin Sushi, The Express Gourmet, China House, BoBo Café, Esperanza's Gourmet.

aw come on now - you're just being modest, you must somehow be connected with the biz or you're very good at speculating and doing some pretty darn good restaurant reviews

btw, I agree with you about The Express Gourmet, last two times I was there it was a ghost town

A couch potato, 500+ pounds, lives in my mother's basement. I wouldn’t qualify to even be a busboy.
My dream job at an ethnic restaurant!

Crap! We need to get back in there. I like that place, but it gets a bit pricey for us.

I've been in the restaurant biz for almost 20 years and managed 5 star restaurants in bay area as well-Its all about great food and great service...its a tough business. I think its unfair to state that many owners do not have a clue about "food" and "service". UNTIL YOUR IN THE BUSINESS-LIVING IT DAY TO DAY, its easy to make such comments. And sometimes it really is about the landlord. Our landlord will not let us put up banners, A-frames, or do any kind of advertising in the complex-at all! In fact, they have actually convenscated our A-frames that we spent good money on and will not return them! Thank you for asking

that is amazing! Isn't there a fair amount of empty commercial/retail in that complex? I would think your landlord would be doing everything they could to promote you and help you succeed. You're one of the key players in their little development.

I hope you find some place more supportive. You have a great concept and I love the special events you've done. My only hang was the space. The dining areas all felt very confined. Good luck in your new spot! Be sure to let us all know where it will be!
