It has closed. at least for now. I spoke to two friends whom went there today and stated that they were closed. I also met up woth a friend who is a server there and she said the same thing , but she felt fortunate that she did recieve her last paycheck. She is now looking for work.. I knew that they were operating day to day and on a COD basis with their suppliers, so this comes as no great surprise to me..

My neighbor just got a job with Planet Smoothie.......apparently they shut down their stores and are a mobile operations only type of deal now. They have several vans and trucks that can be hired out for events. I guess he is booked until summer is over for things like baseball games and other big events. Not too sure how they will do in the cooler months though.....

Just drove by. They're history. Note in front door expains their departure.

Wow. I went there for cocktails on Friday.

I think the Vacuum Repair guy on E. Bidwell (near Manderes) closed up shop. Sign on the door said "Be Back ??? Not here" or something like that.

Maybe, but it seemed like if he came back, it would be at another location. It was an odd sign.

Edit: I suppose I misinterpreted the sign. They were clearly open today.

Someone might want to take a run by Malabar, I just heard a rumor it has closed.

M.E.G.

Just had dinner and drinks there Friday night. Restaurant had a good number of customers and the bar was very busy.

Yeah...wish you the others from that center that have closed were still there.

Overpriced, difficult landlords pushing businesses out and building more empty buildings is not the best model in these times.

well... when they exhuast themselves throwing tenants out in a downward rental market... you'll see prices come down...

This economy isn't getting better is it...

Landlords just don't get it...What can possibly go in where Malabar stood. Lets hope not another restaurant chain.
