I can't answer that--my instinct would be to say--the courts would prolly be uncomfortable taking a child away from a parent--if the parent is in good standing in regards to probation, CPS and counseling....etc.

Also--I recently read a study--in which offenders who submit and complete the counseling program (I might be wrong but I think it was at Atascadero) have a less than 15% recidivism rate.

The report also went on to say that, that is actually very high compared to other states who have even better counseling programs for these types of criminals.

The "adult" term being applied here is subject to debate.

This seems to be more of a grandparent visitation or a grown child moved in with a grandchild situation so I'm sure the parent of the child must know about the conviction.

Can you explain why your neighbors, a few who have posted here, have a very negative view of the way you handle your kids? Are they just against you, wrong, what???

can you explain why none of the neighbors have every bothered to go knock on her door and talk to her? Come on, you're the expert on everything, lets hear the solution Einstein

More likely, let's twist this around:

Two of the people have professed child care licenses.

By law, they are required to report suspected child endangerment, abuse, neglect or torture.

Leaving this to the "school" to report is BS.

Reporting to CPS annonymously is encouraged.

So,.......if there really was an issue--(let's not play the blame game, gosh, maybe someone just got a little excited while posting and didn't consider that they can be held lible for for what they say, even on a fricking chat site)----what happened to ethics?

what the heck are talking about?

The "neighbors" who were talking smack about the mother.

Who Darth wants to use as some sort of irrefutable evidence that the mother is the problem.

I have a problem with that.

I could have sworn that about 30 years ago our country got past the whole "rape is the fault of the woman cause she was wearing a short skirt" --mentality.

I find it digusting how many of our lovely folsom residents were so quick to get on the bandwagon of finding fault with the mother of this 10 year child--rather than accepting the reality that human trash who LIKES to prey on little girls is right next door to them as well.

Oh, and lets not forget why this mom prolly felt ok letting her kids play in HER front yard.

She lives next to a school?

Law states sex offenders can not lives within a mile of a school or daycare facility.

Next I suppose, her neighbors are going to jump on the blame game wagon and scream that The registered sex offender lists are not protecting folsom residents--because there just isn't enough proactive involvement in tracking down offenders who "go off the reservation"?

Christ, our government can only do so much to protect citizens.

Then it becomes the duty of neighbors to protect their neighborhoods.

Where's the outcry on that?

Supermom, are you sure about that 1 mile from a school? Because I'm counting five registered on Megan's Law within probably less than a mile from Theodore Judah, two by Natoma Station, and one by Carl Sundahl.

your 17 year old can't handle babysitting?

Yes he can, but he is a boy and well you know, boys at 17 arent the brightest. I am a bit overprotective of her so that might explain why. I think if I had an older daughter it might be different. I would leave her with my 17 year old niece. Most girls are just more mature than boys are. Sorry. smile.gif

I have a 17 year old son, and an 11 year old daughter and I have never, nor would I ever, leave her in his care. I love him to pieces, but I know a bad idea when I see one.
