Thanks for the correction Jayel. I was wondering how we went from 11:30p to 3:30a.

Liberties were taken from the SacBee article that the accident occurred at vs. reported at 3:30 AM.

"The three passengers, on the other hand, were reported to be in serious conditions at 3:30 this morning."

Off the streets before midnight is fine.

Wow there's a lot of misconceptions I want to correct.

You do have the driver's name wrong. The picture you are looking at is one of the passengers. And I'm pretty sure "it felt great" can be categorized under sarcasm, not "it felt great guys, go drink and drive!"

The people in the crash were mutual friends, yes, but I'm getting this information from his personal, public Facebook page, not from "highschool rumor mill behavior". Your tone, to me, is very accusatory and jumping-to-conclusions. Is it because I'm a teen and therefore have no reliable information to give?

And I'm just saying, he could probably give a password to a friend and have him/her post it for him.

They were NOT out at 3:30 AM, this occurred at around 11:30 PM. So they were not out past midnight. Please check your info!

I was out an hour prior to the incident with my boyfriend and his family, which would have been 10:30 PM. To me, 10:30 PM sounds like a very reasonable time to go home.

Hmmm-you just admitted to rumor mongering...

Either you are the friend with the password or you are making assumptions or you are passing on secondhand information....

And no...I'm not trying to be accusatory (interesting you should use that verbage).

I am merely pointing out-that the conjectures on this site should be left to what is public knowledge unless someone wants to identify themselves as a person whom is a witness-or close relative.

Saying you were there an hour before the incident and claiming it gives you claim to the validity of a supposition is preposterous.

And I'm sorry you didn't understand my last post. It was dry sarcasm. Something one builds and finetunes as they mature-much like a winemakes nurtures a delicate balance in a dry Noir; it can take decades to perfect. And decades for inexperienced palates to learn to truly appreciate.

As for the curfew thingy-my parents told me 2am when I was a jr. In highschool.

But,maybe because I was able to handle that freedom without doing stupid stuff?

And hey-I admit it-I got all that out of my system before I reached the age of 12. How I survived up to that point_admittedly, is purely a miracle.

I think that what I learn as a parent when I see incidents like this happen:
Is that the time is looming closer when my children will soon be affected directly by incidents like this.
It appears this happens in folsom-about once a year. Thank god not more than that. So, I believe that folsom teens-for the most part-are not running around rampant..
I think that incidents like this help. Me-as a parent see certain things I may need to address with my children. And listen to other parents in how they navigated successfully with their kids- through these dangers. Seriously, some folks here have good ideas on how their families work with these "social" aspects of a teens life-which will come up, eventually. Even the good kids are going to have to make choices. That is the definition of a lifestyle.

As for the families involved: hic has it right. I wouldn't want to be in those parents shoes, right now. What they must be going through is misery.

yes these kids were foolish... but don't criticize the actions of those in shock. i see it as sad the majority of you don't even ask how the children are. i personally am friends of the teen girl, shes only 16 and yes she most likely won't make it. the vehicle flipped on top of her and caused shattered bones and internal bleeding, she has been in and out of surgery since that fatal morning. judge if it pleases you, but pray for her, she is a beautiful person that made a mistake.

I am not rumor mongering. If I had heard it from a friend of a friend, then yes it is a rumor. I am taking information directly from his Facebook page in his words. This is not a rumor. I am not the friend with the password, I was suggesting that this is a method, in the event that he himself did not have Internet connection (since many of you suggest this should not be a granted privilege to him), that he could post on his Facebook page.

I have never stated that since I was present at the scene, that it gives me any validation whatsoever. I stated that information because the potential happenings give me fear. Correct me if I'm wrong. I did state however, that my boyfriend was at the scene and the information he gave me. Everything he told me (the Jack Daniels bottle, non-lethal injuries) match up to any news outlet I can find.

And honestly, I didn't understand your last post because of your typing style. I'm sorry I didn't catch the sarcasm. I guess I'll go appreciate it some decades later while my palate matures enough for a forum post.

why must you turn this into a self indulged situation, stop arguing, you're not helping anyone. if you want to help, raise money for surgeries desperately needed to save a life.

I know, I hate these forum-type arguments. I originally just wanted to correct false information, but now it's getting defensive.

You said you're a friend of one of the victims? Do you have any other information as to if they're okay? I was specifically assured they were not life-threatening, but now this sounds bad. =(

i haven't heard of anything concerning the other victims, i only just recently found out about the state the young girl is in saturday. i have talked to her parents and begged to be admitted to see her, my attempts have failed. they need time as a family, understandable. there is still no assurance she'll make, shes incapable of talking, breathing on her own, moving, and her body has continuously rejected the surgeries... all i know is the possibilities of her dying out way those of her living, and this is why i ask you to pray. wether you believe in a greater power or not, hope can create a miracle, hope can save a life.

I have to admit I haven't been praying about this recently, but I did bring it up at my church and there have been prayers.

I'm sorry, my last few posts have been more argument than anything.

i flew out of an airport once, many years later there was an plane crash there....im just sayin'...."the potential happenings give me fear" statement is a far fetched attempt to place yourself into a storyline. do you still stand out in front of the house? do you still drive? btw, i still fly in planes.

I really don't want to argue. I'm not in the storyline and I never attempted to be. And I'm sorry, it just scared me to know what might have happened.

-----------------

OK, I read the article wrong. It mentioned 3:30 AM so I expected that was when it happened. I stand corrected on that. Why were that in that gated community? I don't think any of them lived there? They were still out at 20 minutes to midnight and we have no way of knowing what time they would have gone home. If they were still cruising at that time who knows.

The Folsom police log for the 7th of July has the following:

2340 PM Drunk driving collision at 700 Block Heritage Place:

Male juvenile of Folsom involved in single vehicle roll over accident. Three passengers ejected. Passengers transported to hospital for serious injuries. Male juvenile driver arrested for 23153 VC. Booked to Juvenile Hall.
A VETERAN Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount "up to and including their life". That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it. -Author unknown-

It's relatively easy to get into that community. For a birthday party my friend included the gate code on the invite, and the gate's often open until it's dark on weekends.

Edit: To clarify: from my experience on weekends, if it's bright, it's open, if it's dark, it's closed.
