I will be interested in watching a game there. I wonder how blue jerseys will look on a blue field.
I must admit that I haven't been to a game there since they stopped playing at Sutter! I'll have to get out there this year.
Oh, and welcome back!

Saw it a few days ago. It is very, very blue. I think the Bulldog emblem in the middle will improve the look when they are able to put it on there.
They go to all this trouble and expense to have a cool field, yet the planters everyone walks along to and from games in front of the tennis courts is a mess. It wouldn't be that hard to improve. Don't bother replanting anything because it won't be maintained. Just fix the obvious irrigation problems and fill the thing with bark.

I've never seen a game there, but I want to now. I'm just curious. Does the soccer team play on that same field?

Calling people pushy, snappy, and judgmental is called name calling. It's generally a last ditch effort to save face when someone has completely lost a debate.
BTW name calling has nothing to do with football or politics so you should probably look in the mirror and reflect on your behavior. Do you allow your kids to go anonymously online and call people names?
Absolutely. Freedom of speech and everything. BTW, why can't you just let go and talk about the field? oh wait, we are much more interested in your shallow and superficial perspective that the football players won't look good on a matching field of blue.

I didnt call you anything. I said your behavior is..... Hey, if the shoe fits wear it. If it doesn't then disregard. Would you like a shoe horn?

This just gets better, you can't even remember who you were calling names. Look back your posts, you were calling TruthSeeker names. Please try to keep up.

Cool, personally I teach my kids not call people names. For me freedom of speech is not a license to try and demean people by calling them names.

Hey there you go calling me names now. Classy. BTW you really need to keep up. I never said a thing about "players won't look good on a matching field of blue", not even once.
I do wonder what it will look like, but I can only form an opinion after I see it, which I have not. I will actually be on the field as I have for the last several years so my perspective will be from that level.

Well my daughter who is on the soccer team found out they may not be able to use the field now! Rules say they have to play on green. If they can't get a waiver---her team is NOT happy that they weren't considered in the decision. Hopefully they will be able to get the waiver, guess we'll find out with boys soccer because it is first.
Seriously? How could the AD not know about this rule? Sounds like whoever the decision makers were only considered the FHS football team - not the band, not the soccer teams, not anyone else who uses the field. What a shame.

So there's more to athletics than football?

Did they even line it for soccer? In the Fox40 clip, it looks like just the football lines are there, but perhaps they weren't finished. Can someone that has seen it completed, please report. Thanks.

The facilities director at FCUSD seems to consider it a multipurpose field. A quote from the manufacturer's Website attributed to the district personnel:
"Matrix (Registered Trademark Symbol) Synthetic Turf will bring its specific design philosophy of a multipurpose field that supports multisport functionality."
I guess graduation will look different, too.
