FYI, you-know-who decided the current Telegraph Editor was too dangerous (thinks FPA and Bernau HD projects). Don Chaddock was "given the talk." He's resigned. He was advocate for residents.

Do you have proof of this? Don Chaddock called me last week and told me that he had taken a job doing internal communications for the Department of Corrections. He sounded excited.

SCA, Thanks for letting us know which area of state government is getting Don.

As for the undercurrents in town, they exist.    I still believe Don was far too fair  to be editor during upcoming elections.

Don was a voice for the people, and that was rare for that paper.     It is our loss, IMO.

PS internal communications at a prison -- I've heard banging on pipes is one method.  smile.

Time to vote out all incumbents who have been on the council over 6 years - that would be ALL OF THEM.

Get out and vote to bring new people on board and get rid of the good ol' boys club that is wholly owned by developers.

Yes- I thought it was funny. Brings to light exactly what everyone is discussing, a blind commitment to the incumbents. The same edition of the Telegraph has a huge article regarding "Chamber endorses incumbents in council race." (Page A2, very top) No mention of challengers.

Roger,

Found out you are running.       Best of luck to you.

Thank you Tyto Alba!

Look for me next time! I'm usually buying coffee at Starbucks for Folsom residents, trying to spark conversations. :) We currently have seven (soon to be twenty) wrapped cars like this driving around Folsom to combat the lack of available sign locations the Chamber and Developers steal away. I will wrap anyone's car who wants to help promote the campaign; it's temporary and professionally done. It’s very expensive but extremely effective; just ask the incumbents who drive by them every day. LOL

As I drove back from my Saturday morning basketball just now, I saw the sea of signs for the incumbents on the vacant lot at the corner of Oak and Iron Point.  It's a sign of fall in the air - the accustomed incumbent names for all to see.  It made me dream of term limits again.

I wonder what the incumbents think when they see those signs - do they maybe think, "Gee, it feels good to know there will never be any challenger signs allowed in the important locations"?

Just yesterday, I saw a single sign there that contained the names of all three incumbents, saying they were endorsed by the Folsom Chamber.  Every election season, that vacant land always has signs for the City Council incumbents and Republican State/Federal candidates.

Also noticed that out of the 3 incumbents running this season, only Kerri has a candidate website.

There's  a sign at the bridge & Greenback

"No incumbents"

Where can we get one of those?

I like that! We all need that sign and bumper stickers.

I'm starting with this one below....

I have no problem with incumbents - until they start being lifelong entrenched incumbents who seem to do whatever they want.  We should have term limits.

Do these people even look interested or happy at their own re-election party?

They are too complacent, too old, too out of touch with reality.

NO MORE INCUMBENTS - VOTE THEM ALL OUT

It's time they go. Miklos, Howell, Morin in that order. Would prefer getting rid of all three, but if past elections are any indication, Howell is most vulnerable.

Any one  when the debate (s) will be ? Will it be "sponsored" by chamber of commerce.??

The last debate was a joke. My daughter, at age 11, submitted a written question, per the format that asked Jeff Starsky, specifically, about his signage violations. The person who was moderating the debate completely changed the wording and anonymized the question, which actually gave Starsky an opportunity to brag instead of answering my daughter. She was livid.

Gotta love moderators.  (not)

Awesome!! The car gets the word out. A lot if nice folks are coming up to ask questions which has been great. I'd say close to 90% say they are ready for new leadership regardless of the past records of our current council members. The sediment is to just do something new.... Get a Fresh Face in.
