Yes, I've followed the Planet 9 conversation. (Is the old Star Trek TV Show "Deep Space 9" eerily predictive?) I've heard that some climate scientists are already scouring the historical records looking for any correlation of phenomena to the proposed orbital cycles of Planet 9. Nothing found yet. One other more disturbing thought...I heard couple weeks back someone suggest Planet 9 might be a micro black hole, and not be observable in the visible light spectrum. No one will actually ever "see" it. Something like this would significantly shorten the life of our solar system, and humans would have to find another place to live sooner than later. Evidence of this would be easy to see by looking for momentary distortions in the positions of distant stars as Planet 9 passed between them and Earth. Nothing like that has ever been observed however, so hopefully it's not a black hole.
Regardless of the climate change causes, it's still a concern about how humanity will react to climate changes. So far, it's not encouraging. When the head of the House Committee on Science still uses the bible as his guidance for overseeing science and technology policy, it signals trouble. Lamar Smith seems to forget that the bible was written by people who had no idea where the sun went at night. It's very worrisome.
