Listening maybe but very slow to act.

Coronavirus: Fauci says US 'could have saved lives' with earlier action

Dr Fauci said health officials could only make recommendations from a "pure health standpoint".

"Often, the recommendation is taken. Sometimes, it's not. But it is what it is, we are where we are right now."

Chloroquine study called off after irregular heartbeats detected in patients

https://nypost.com/2...heart-problems/

If Trump tweeted tomorrow that Aspirin, Tylenol, and Ibuprofen might be useful in treating headaches all you TDS democrats would be walking around with headaches......  For a long time, because you would refuse to use them....

And many physicians around the world are using the forms of Chloroquine in combination with other drugs to treat patients with some really good success.  Some people can't tolerate it, like any other drug (me penicillin) and you move on to something else....   Those that tolerate it swear it helped saved their lives.  It's been given to some very seriously ill, verge of death patients, and they pulled out of it.   We will know more in a year when the Corona dust settles.  Doctors all over the world are using it, trying it, seeing if it gives patients an edge to fight this virus.    I have an idea.....!  Get one of those medical alert bracelets that says "No Chloroquine under any circumstances" and wear it on your wrist, put your TDS on full display, wear it proudly...!   I dare you....!   Chris

Trump halts funding to the World Health Organization (WHO).

It just doesn't seem smart.

Blame everyone except his own ineptitude.

Ummm, if you had beedn following ANY of the reporting by actual journalists, you would know that we provide much of the funding for WHO and they soundly screwed the pooch on this. Not only that, they parroted the PRC propaganda from the outset. Look into the background of the head of the WHO. A sttoge for China if there ever was one.

AND it WAS China's fault. By design or by accident, this was entirely of their making. Look into several US agencies reports that the labs near Wuhan were an accident waiting to happen. There were also previous accidents there. Not to mention if this was actually from the wet markets. Those have been warned about for YEARS. Solidly China's fault

Making this about Trump is stupid.

The virus has been way overblown. The computer models have been WAYYYY off. IMHO, CA already had covid sweep through in January/February.  The reactions by the government have been vastly disproportionate to the actual threat. As people start to see the damage from the governments actions and compare it to the actual damage from covid there is going to be trouble.

I'm predicting it here. The populace has been very cooperative up until now. However, stupid, draconian, authoritarian measures will only be tolerated for so long. Local municipalities have waaaayyyy overstepped their power. People have been banned from attending drive through church...on Easter. People have been told they may not protest the governments actions. People have been told they may not walk their dogs, buy certain products, drive from main home to vacation home, paddleboard on the ocean, sit in their cars and look at the ocean, drive their cars in a protest, get together with a single friend, go to a park, etc, etc, etc.

People will eventually say ENOUGH! Certainly some of those actions are unconstitutional. I'm with the acting DNI. "The Constitution is my permission slip to leave my house."  There are already a few places where people are starting protests and forming groups to pressure government to reopen businesses. If the government continues to create these unreasonable mandates, public support for  "the law" will quickly crumble. That will leave the government one of two choices. Crack down hard on "violators," or capitulate to the citizens.  If they crack down, things will get dark very quickly. Look for chaos to ensue before those "in charge" figure it out.

Agree.

And it's refreshing to find common ground.
Yes, both my wife and I were sick in late February and we suspect that was the virus washing though the area.

Symptoms were exactly as described and we got over it without treatment.

I can see how easily we could open up small businesses that don't have a lot of close contact, such as dry cleaners.
And most small business use cubicles, which are easily cleaned and allow for social distancing, a science we

have all learned to live with by now.

MASSIVE demand for virus testing; hospitals scrambling for supplies, disjointed social distancing orders.

Just wondering if any minds have been changed in favor of Universal Healthcare for all?
(As long as you don't call it socialized medicine, that is.)
