CLOSED !! On my way up BlueRavine today to get another fantastic pizza from Roma's Pizza noticed that the signs were gone and had a moving truck backed into the location. Boy, they sure didn't last too long.! OOOhh well, what will be next in that terrible location?

The location has never been the reason I haven't dined at that intersection. It's always been the choice of restaurants. Bring high quality, the customers will come.

Once I saw that 15% discount sign go up a few months ago I knew that place was in trouble. Worst location ever doesn't help. And I guess have all the non-paid boat people as the cooks etc couldn't even save them. Man, it's tough out there!

Interesting. Every time I see a post or a new thread started about a restaurant here I wonder if it is a "this restaurant went out of business" post.

The location is not THAT bad.
If it was a better restaurant, I would have made the very mild extra effort it takes to turn into the parking lot. I would not have gone any more often if the location was better and the place no better. It was worth the extra effort to drive all the way to Roseville for Asian buffet because the food was better there.

Went there with the family once and was not all that impressed - food was just OK at best. The guy sitting behind me (facing my wife) ate a huge plate of crab legs, slurping out all the last bits, let out a ginormous belch, and then proceeded to walk out and stiff the restaurant. They chased him into the parking lot. Wife says "never again".

Once when we were driving by we saw the Clark man there - that can't be good. I guess that's the price you pay for a really visible location. Oh, and we are sure he was "working" there as opposed to having lunch - the van (one of only a couple cars in the lot) was backed up to the front door. I would think the exerminator would show up to a restaurant in a more discreet vehicle - sheesh!

I'd rather they were PREVENTING the buggies with an exterminator, then NOT PREVENTING them, and letting it go... ohmy.gif

I would say value killed this place. It was expensive for only marginal food. we went there a few times but I couldnt force myself to go any more. It just seemed like alot of money when I could have gone to a much higher quality restruant. I wouldnt have had a problem going there again but not at the prices they wanted.

As I past the place over the past few months seeing the parking lot go from packed when it opened to just a few cars, I wondered how close they were to closing up.

We dined ate there maybe 5-6 times and the food was good but agree that prices especially dinner seemed expensive and the food was the same each time. Haven't been there since late summer.

The location isn't ideal but put a good value, good food restaurant there and it should work especially if they make use of the patio terrace. Lyon's was well just Lyon's and Sizzler likely failed because they didn't build the salad bar properly (not as big as other sites, difficult to get around when busy).

The real pity in my opinion is that the much anticipated China Buffet put the Sakura Japanese Buffet (next to Jimboys) out of business by stealing away their customers for a while. We ate at China Buffet twice and found it inferior to Sakura. China Buffet had more selection, but all poor quality. Sakura had fewer choices, but what they had was excellent, including their all you could eat sushi. So China Buffet took out Sakura and then collapsed itself because it was poor quality. What a shame.

Best Chinese Food in Folsom (my vote)

1. Hop Sing Palace
2. Rice Express on Natoma and Blue Ravine
3. t2 Yuan (what the heck does that mean, by the way?)

I couldn't agree more. Sakura was a much better place to eat. Sad.

We were by there last night also. I mentioned to my husband that they were leaving, almost like in the middle of the night. Seemed kinda odd that late at night.

My favorite place for Chinese food is Pho Bac Hoa Viet on Bidwell. You can also get Vietnamese food there.
