After reading "Chinese To Go" I was, once again, wishing that there was more than one Thai restaurant in town. Amidst all the chains, what kind of restaurant do you wish Folsom had?

THAI!

PHAI. I mean pie. Yep. Marie Calendars,...whatever. WE NEED CHOICES AND WE NEED PIE.

+ Have you tried the Thai place up in EDH...off of Town Center main drag...by the Quiznos?
It's pretty good. I'm not a Thaifficinato...I just enjoy the curry and gripe because there aren't free soda refills.

I still want Fresh Choice up here! I hate going to Citrus Heights for it.

+1. Have you ever tried "Sweet Tomato"...I think that's the name...it's the same. Good stuff.
I wouldn't go there all the time...every once in awhile....you get a hankering for a salad that won't end.

Chantara in Town Center is fabulous. They seem to have resolved the 'rediculously long wait for your food' issues, as well.
In my book, there is nothing better than basil and curry.
Now I'm hungry!

I think that the curry at Pei Wei is good, too...

If you're looking for a "real German restaurant complete with sauerbraten, beer steins and apple strudel" you should try Heart of Europe. They're located off Blue Ravine/Natoma Station Drive in the little strip mall at the far end of the Winco parking lot. Check out their website:
www.heartofeuropefolsom.com

I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I really like German food...and I was kind of disappointed. I'd drive to West Sac or up to St. Pauli's. They were REALLY friendly...and great and all...just that the food wasn't that great. I had the Wienerschnitzel. It's all about the schnitzel for me.

Hooters sucks for chicken wings, even their hottest sauce is boringly bland.

Try these guys for good wings

Best chicken wings I've ever had, well, except for my own.
I would rather be Backpacking

EDF might pull my man card for saying this, but I think Hooters sucks, nothing but crappy food and I don't need the T&A in dorky 80's orange dolphin shirts...

but back to the subject of buffalo wings - the best ones I've had in Northern Cali can be found right on Sutter Street at Chicago Fire Pizza, they have some of the best wings I've ever had... and man o' man they can make 'em smokin' hot for ya if you can handle it

I've tried Chicago Fire Pizza and was not impressed. I attribute that to the fact, I think they stick with what some call the traditional sauce, which for me is too vinegary. So I have no problem with saying that I am not a big fan of "Buffalo Wings", but I love "Hot Wings".
Even though they could be hotter, I like the hot wings from KFC. My favorite in CA so far actually has been the Hot Wings from the Roach Coach that I used to hit up for breakfast at my previous employer.

But for homemade hot wings, I think I make a pretty awesome Jamaican Jerk hot wing, and then my semi-homemade BBQ sauce isn't exactly mild, so I also love my BBQ hot wings.
I also bought a bottle of the Mango-Habanero sauce from the Wild Wing place in Huntsville AL I've been to twice now.
I would rather be Backpacking

+1 for on the Border. I LOVE their Huge nachos and salsa that they bring you when you first come in. Secondly, their deserts are second to none. Finally, one butrrito feeds my family, so it is worth the $$$.
