you know its too bad the boys never let you be mayor after all your service so whats the good in behaving yourself. be a little outspoken, liven the old meetings up. there were times when I was listening to old miklos or starskey where I just wanted to stand up and yell "bull...t but I was afraid the police would grab me. they might let you get away with it and even if they busted you your myfolsom.com friends would mount a free Kerri movement.
I haven't figured out where the new ernie guy fits in, the times I have heard him he seems like a nice but simple soul, which would probably mean old miklos would spin his web around him and give him a couple of crumbs.
a radical fiesty kerri might wake folsom up. this cash bridge thing is a fun issue but it sure points out miklos and company don't give a hoot about what the folsom people think
hey wear black and raise your hand in a fist of protest like those olympic folks did a long time ago
Old Soldier - you ROCK! That was extremely well said - in fact I think you just said exactly what the majority in Folsom would like to say to the good old boyz club that is running things their way.

ya'll are wasting money on those shirts--buying from the cafe-press.
At walmart you can buy a variety of colors of "materiel" colors in either spray or liquid form.
just get a black t-shirt (also at walmart) and paint on it ---"politicians in training in Folsom, CA.--you know they are doing right, 'cause they didn't listen to their constituents--when nameing this
And at the bottom--you can put, "water under the briddge, until the next election"

do you think they would make a stink if a lot of people showed up in Cash t-shirts? somehow I think Johnny Cash would approve of an outlaw name for that bridge.

Nah... but if they did who cares? It is supposed to be fun. NGilbert's idea was the best - make our own.

I think the cash family would think it fitting!!!
The outlaw enduring spirit---blah, blah....
I get the feeling the man was always short on words though.
So, maybe just a black shirt.........

I've never actually bought anything off of cafepress - I can find similar but better shirts on ebay for lots less
I just put in a bid for a Johnny Cash shirt that is listed on the official Johnny Cash site for 24.95 - I bid 13 bucks for it. No tax and often includes free shipping, much better price...

A sort of ---uh, experiment.
The last time I came on here and complained about the bridge noise during indecent hours---it stopped for a few days.
So I tried it again--just before this weekend had started.
Guess what?
No indecent hours of working this weekend.
Yeah, they were out there---but not before 7am. (well, ok...they were out there---but they kept the noise down to only vehicles beeping and moving around until then)
So, I'm thinking---did someone call them? Or is someone on this board--relating this thread to them?
ha ha ha----anyway, it was nice to be able to sleep in this weekend.
Thanks for being considerate Kiewit.
Could just be that they're cutting back their weekend hours as the project gets closer to completion. They may have had to work extra long days to get aligned with the schedule but perhaps they're now on track and no longer need to work the longer hours.

Are you talking about the tunnel right next to Folsom Dam and FA?
I think that area is either owned by San Juan Water works or the Army Corp of Engineers.
There are signs in that area for both, so it's a bit confusing.
It's either state or federal property, I think.
So, I'm not sure if the city of Folsom could have annexed it to potentially have a "Johnnyland" type of momento giftshop.
Tho' the idea is a bit intriguing.

It would be hilarious if they tagged the bridge as the Johnny Cash Memorial Bridge instead of the other name the city selected.
