What were the numbers?

4 8 15 16 23 42 ? They flashed by pretty quick and I tried remembering, but alas, my mind isn't what it used to be.

they are answering some questions, while creating more, which is good. It was good to see Hurley's background (finally). Now the numbers are very intriguing!

They finally brought back the pod in the jungle (although nothing was explained)

The numbers must've been broadcast from that pod. The alien idea is back.

I wish they would kill off Charlie. He's as annoying as his character was in Lord of the Rings.

I hope they kill off Boone. He doesn't add much to the storyline, and I'm still kind of grossed out by the fact that he lusts after HIS SISTER!!!

Good episode last night - looks like another repeat next week. The numbers appear to be the serial number of the "pod" - maybe included in some signal that's emitted when(if) it crashed - silmilar to the "black box" on an airplane.

That was 2 weeks' ago episode, anyone else think that she was watching Hurley win the lottery?

The 'pod' couldn't be alien - it has numbers on it. my theory is it is related to the "others"... the original signal was probably some distress signal from the pilots of the pod (I bet it's an airplane), perhaps trying to signal that they are alive. Over the years stuck on the island, they've become loons. The French woman found the transmitter and changed the signal.

My wife and I have a theory about the season ender - Claire gives birth and something goes horribly wrong - perhaps the "others" did something to the baby, or come to kidnap it. Must be what the psychic saw.

John, I thought the psychic tricked Claire into going on this flight because he knew it was going to crash, strand her, and force her to raise the baby herself? Wasn't what he saw (that he was trying to prevent) what happened if Claire gave the baby up for adoption?

I think Slinky's probably right that Jin's TV was playing Hurley winning the lottery. These folks are all connected somehow. I think it's tied back to Locke somehow -- that he's the reason they're all there.
