UPDATE: Looks like Samsung voting site had a security breach. Everyone, everywhere has to authenticate every time they vote now due to a breach in security. New process: Enter your email at Samsung site and then go to your email and click the link - you have to do this everyday. Spread the word. Thanks.

Samsung has new rules on the contest.

First Time Voting:

1. enter your email adress, click Submit and OK
2. the page will scroll up where you enter your name and zip, click Submit and OK
3. check your email for Samsung's Solve for Tomorrow Email Verification (inbox and spam), click the link in it.
4. after the website loads, click OK and place your initial vote.

Each Time You vote hereafter:

1. We must enter the email next to the Sutter video, click submit and ok.
2. Go to your email daily and open the "no reply" message. Click on the link and it will open up the Samsung screen.
3. Put in your email next to Sutter Middle School and vote.

WATCH for Channel 31 Good Morning Sacramento on Sunday morning between 7 and 8 AM for our kids and a voting marathon during the hour! Thanks.

Samsung's Solve for Tomorrow Vote Verification

Great, now the email received is with the above subject line and when the link in it is clicked, it automatically counts as a vote, excellent. I just hope we don't loose too many voters due to this re-registration requirement!!!

That's crazy!!!
I totally agree with you.

Oops _ I missed the part about some tried hacking at Sutter--- Now- if that is true- it is way out of line and could jeopardize all the work the students put into this program.

Another great  day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

So the kids from Sutter were successful with the hack the professor mentioned? They should get an "A" for effort and then be expelled!

I completely agree with you.
Just what are we really teaching these students anyways that would lead someone to hack into the system...or create multiple emails to boost their standings.

Nope. But maybe a teacher led lesson?

If it was a teacher or administrator I'm sure they'll muster up a promotion out of the deal.

UGH blaming Folsom kids for hacking? Where is the proof? Do the ny people have to got through the same process?
I am a huge supporter of the social media aspect of sharing this....but it isnt verifying through my email account?

As for multiple email votes...New York has completely encouraged this....it is what it is..... obviously Samsung will pick who they want to pick

Like someone pointed out, I, for the life of me, can't figure out why anyone paying CA taxes, would not want to support this!

Something is very wrong with the vote count or the website. Sutter's count keeps going DOWN -

when I first looked the count was 60946 and after voting this morning is was 60096...

Another great  day in the adventure of exploration and sight.

The same held true for NY, I think this re-registering need is affecting active daily voters for all finalist.

How about next year when the Folsom High football team makes the playoffs, we declare the winner by which team has more fans at the game.
