Chaatney Indian Street Food, owned by the people who own Mylapore, has opened up in the same center. It looks like it took over the Tug Boat Fish & Chips spot, but I only saw it from the back side, so I'm not sure. Also, Curry Express is now Peacock Indian Restaurant. Has anyone tried either place?

Today was the Grand Opening of a new Folsom Pizza Factory- 6693 Folsom-Auburn Blvd- right next door to the Cat Clinic. We were really excited because when we go to the coast every year, we eat at the one in Fort Bragg and it's really good. I've been to a few others too and really like their pizza and sandwiches.
Across the way, down towards the McDonalds, my son thought he saw a sign for Pete's (like the pizza place in El Dorado Hills near the movie theatre)- we didn't have time to go check it out- anyone know if we got one of those too?
Oh!! Just looked it up- Yep...........Pete's is at 6608 Folsom-Auburn Road............hmmmm...........two pizza places pretty close to one another..........hope they both do well.

I'm just going to throw this out there. The best pizza by far in Ft Bragg is Piaci Pizza. Give them a try next time. Amazing.

Pete's has 2 types of restaurants; The 'Pizza, Pasta and Grill', and the 'Restaurant and Brewhouse'. The one in Folsom is the latter. Although they have pizza on the menu, they have much more in the way of salads, sandwiches and burgers.

Chaatney is awesome! The prices are really good and my kids and I have loved exploring the menu. The pani puri is great - ask them how you're supposed to eat it if they don't tell you. I have heard these referred to as Indian crack. It is as addicting!
Do they have a buffet? I never never mastered ordering from a menu in an Indian rstaurant

No, no buffet. It's not a "traditional" Indian restaurant; it's Indian street food. The menu is very descriptive and the staff very helpful. Give it a try!

Ashley Furniture is opening in the old Sports Authority location.
There were a variety of letters to the editor today in The Folsom Telegraph. Topics included residents who are concerned about the bait and switch on the water supply, dogs being walked sans leashes, inconsiderate bicyclist behavior on the trails, and even a guest columnist addressing the alcohol/noise/parking issues Historic District residents face and the lack of council support.
