Pamp and Park

I agree that the shop may not be to everyone's taste, but that doesn't mean they don't have a right to exist. They don't sell adult items to minors, nor do they display them in the window, so they are harming no one.

Tacky or tasteful, we have to let the market decide which businesses survive.

Most of the shops and bars on Sutter are not to my taste. I just do go in them.

Sho 'nuff

I dropped by Ms. Teaz with my 16 year old, after lunch today.
Still nothin offensive in view. I went in to the infamous back room. Adult stuff and gag gifts.

Sort of a condensed version of what you might find at Evangeline's in Old Sac.

They're nice people. I wish them continued success.

I hope those who are concerned about our kids, and about morality in this town, will now focus their efforts on the rampant drug and alcohol abuse by Folsom kids.

Teach your children, talk to them, talk to other parents, attend Folsom Healthy Families Forums.

I met with the Chief of Police last week. He re-iterated how much more serious and important the drug/alcohol issue is for the safety of our streets and our kids, than is a shop that sells adult items to adults.

Thank you very much for dropping by Steve, and it was great meeting your daughter - she's definately a chip right off the block wink.gif . We appreciate the fact that you (as well as many others over the past months) have come by to see our business for themselves, which we are VERY proud to say "we did ourselves." We value all feedback, and we have a lot of respect for all who have shared their opinions (both positive as well as constructive) with us face to face (praise in public/persecute in private).

All legal and money hunting issues aside, it is an extremely TACKY store, with no taste in merchandise (yes, I have been inside) and IMO it adds absolutely NOTHING to improving the character of the historic district.

Why do you think lingerie is extremely tacky? I must assume you'd think the same of Victoria's Secrets since they are in the same business with similar product lines (however I think Ms Teaz has better stuff).

If you don't like lingerie - why did you go into the store?

As for you thinking the place does nothing to improve the character of the district... I think you're wrong about that - I think it adds well to the eclectic mix of business types on Sutter Street and that's what attracts people to the area - its certainly not the antique stores that are bringing all the people in - keep in mind there are customer of all ages on sutter street - its not just for senior citizens

Who's keeping Ms Teaz in the public eye? What an unhappy individual...

Yes, and you might forget that they were representing the opinions of the majority of their constituents.

Had you been there, Steve, you would have heard their assurances that they did not want to put sexually suggestive items in the window and were quite content to leave the adult toys to the infamous back room. This turn of events is simply another ploy to create attention to their store.

The majority who voiced their opinion (that you now admit) certainly can be thought to represent the majority of the public -- far more than can the vocal few who spoke in favor of the store.

I've noted the great efforts the owners take to keep their name in the public eye. I've noted that I do not approve of people suing in order to gain publicity. I've noted that the majority of the attendees at the city council meeting voiced support of the ordinance and not the store. I've noted that dmarkum has some weird conspiracy theory that went unexplained

We've been so busy lately that we'd didn't think we'd have time to respond to this letter, but many of our friends/customers pointed out to us that it is necessary to educate those who still do not understand our decision to move forward in opposition against the city council. For those still unaware and seeking answers, here is our response:

We must say - the Thursday Night Market was GREAT!! So many fun people, things to do and see & the music was fantastic!

Keep an ear out for our new radio spots on FM 93.7 (KHWD) over the next two weeks, and drop by for the give-away (Yacht trip for 10 on a 30' yacht and catered by Chipotle) for with no strings attached. The winner will be drawn from the entries received at our store only and no information will be taken/shared from the entries we receive.

Also look for us as a sponsor this month at the El Dorado Hills 18th ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT at Serrano Country Club in El Dorado Hills on Monday, June 20'th.

Thought this item was dead!!! But as long as Ms Teaz and Farley keep it going I guess it will stay.

Dear ms teaz,
in standing up for your "rights" you do a disservice to the community at large because your suit costs the city attorney fees and costs. the money for that comes out of the city's budget, which could've been spent on traffic abatement, police, fire etc. Even when the city wins the suit the attorney fee money will already have been spent.

geeze, so everyone should roll over and give up their rights so that the city can have a few more bucks for traffic abatement ect? I hardly think that suit is going to break the bank and its a matter of rights vs wrongs, sometimes you gotta stand up for what you believe in and fight the arrogant narrow minded people who try and push their personal values on everyone else.
